If you go to the beach take a ziplock plastic back and put your money, credit card and ID in the bag and then put the bag in the velcro pocket of your swim shorts. Some travel accessory shops also sell compact watertight containers that you can carry your valuables in while swimming. While in the water the only thing I leave on my beach towel/chair are my t-shirt, cap and cheap sunglasses that I don't mind if they go missing.

@Zeamus634 You are meant to carry the photocopy of your passport with you to use as ID when you are walking in the streets of a foriegn country. He does not mean that you use it at the airport. The photocopy can also be useful if you lose your passport.

GRRR are comments monitored? Tried to add- it's not showing up. I also wanted to say if you plan something that will need more $ just go back to your car,& get your safely locked CC's and/or $ out of the trunk. Or if you are a hotel, this is when you charge to your room.

Another good tip is to split up any cash you do bring to the beach. IE $5 in a paperback stashed under a towel, $5 in a case etc. This way u never lose it all COMMON SENSE! Best yet carry it on you-plastic wrist band!!!

I ALWAYS carry a three ton Safe with me on vacation...it´s 6.ft. by 4.ft. - is 10. inches thick - and is painted bright orange!

Mind you, my 10 men-servants who carry the Safe around for me are a real fucking pain. Always moaning about wage rises.

But it certainly keeps my valuables safe and secure.

Uh not they don't lol....they only make sense when trying to get back home if you're original got lost or stolen. At least with a police report ,copy of travel id and quick call to your country's immigration dept. will most likely will be boarded and not stuck abroad.
