  • It is almost as though you are playing for the still bustling and hurt souls in this song.

Certainly no traditional or sweet version of this painful song.

    Thanks.

  • Beautiful.... You made my day. Thanks!

  • beautiful, i love this song :)

  • Its good, but just a bit too perfect for me. it should be more jazzy, more expressive and emotional, like in keith jarrett's version.

  • wow. My mother Murphy My father Brady thanks you : )

  • BAD RHYTHM, GET DRUNK AND TRY AGAIN.

  • @dljc1979 couldnt agree more...it has everything except the irishness

  • So,,how is the arthritis coming along?,,,,does it interfere with playing the piano ? Keep on keeping on .

  • Fantastic version Arnaud, lovely video clip too. Really suited the mood of the music. Great titles as always.

  • @jimmyblackjazz

    Many thx Jimmy !!!!

  • Really nice playing !!

  • @martimax34

  • ***** Great performance (Five stars)

  • @fgerardohost

    thank you so much !!!!

  • I love this tune and you played so beautiful. Love it.

  • Man, this is the one I played when my baby Danny came thru the door for the first time, I had all the candles burning, and I chucked the midwife out.

  • @vimana19

This must have been a magical moment for you! thx for your feedback. cheers

    arnaud

  • Congratulações pela interpretação e sensiblidade.

  • Arnaud, I heard the tempo variations as well, but I interpreted them as you trying to copy Bill's artisitic hesitations. As the piece works its way into your permanent memory, you will find and develop your own creative pauses. Your technical work is impressive, so now comes the "fun" part - adding your soul.

  • @Alan62651

Hey Alan, sorry for taking so long to respond. this is great feedback as i think you get it right...fun is slightly starting to get there...take care - arnaud

  • Hi arnaud :) Thanks for adding me among your friends. I enjoy very much your music. • Good job! You have moments when you seem to really be in "flow" ... you know, that kind of magical space where you're one with the music. Keep practicing. The rough edges will smooth out. You definitely have incredible potential.

  • very nice!

  • Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up ! You're doing great !

  • Hi Arnaud,

This was as well as I've very heard it played and is one of my favorites! Fabulous my friend!

    Floyd

    ~PC~

  • Wow, amazing work! Nicely done.

  • great job,

  • Exquisite interpretation of a precious musical gem. Thanks, indeed.

  • one word... WOW!

  • that's beautiful. have you ever listened to the perfect vocal rendition of the song by eva cassidy? you should play "Tennessee Waltz" after her fashion. she was taken away much to early.

  • I close my eyes and sing a long....Oh,Danny boy, the pipes the pipes are calling :-)

  • You have beautiful hands - they'll do whatever you want them to do - so pretty.

  • 88 keys on a pianny...and I hit the wrong bloody one every time! You're doing great.

  • Mellow arrangement of a "forever" song! Thanks for sharing!

  • Awesome! I love it! I'm thinking of taking up the piano one of these days!

  • lovely thank you :)

  • Your doing so well my friend well done, a beautiful rendition of one of my fave songs.

    so touching....many thanks m8.. :-))

  • a lovely haunting touch, hesitant at times but a rendition Id love to sing to

has a warmth to it. Polish the edges and yes, nice..

  • Great piece of music, thank you, Much LOve

  • Magical element to the playing. Smooth Finesse....... Congrats.

  • @Cupidville

many thx! I really appreciate your feedback - bless you

  • It needs more dynamicity but, anyway, great job and sound. Keep it on.

  • much loved song means a great deal to me..keep practising a lot is right

    still sounds lovely

  • Great Job!!

  • Coming on nicely. Well done :)

  • Your coming along great! Keep up the good work!

  • GJ.

  • Congratulations Querar1,

It´s a beautiful piano sound with your great touch. Nice arrangement too!

  • You sound touchingly unsure sometimes in this video :)

But really, though there are some (very slight ones) imperfectios in your manner, which is understandable for a beginner, you`ve definitely got the feeling. You know, though I`m not a musician myself, but i`m convinced that besides technique, it takes something else to make a good musician. Something in the fingertips, you know... Which makes the keys sound animated. And you`ve got it.

  • @jazzlust

you are right Natalie. Unsure is the key word...it is felt in some loss of the tempo sometimes as I search the right chord...a bit more practice should overcome that I guess. thx for taking the time to listen to this one and share your comments. much appreciated.

  • Even Tommy Fleming would approve.

  • what piano is this I love its sound. I'm so cheesed off with any and all electric/stage/digital pianos whatever you want to call them they just dont sound like a real one period regardless how much you spend!

  • I just love this piece! you play it very well!

  • That's nice! Tell me please: In how many keys is the other version by Bill Evans, the solo from 1962? -- I've loaded it up for listening at my blog (link in profile, then scroll down a little), and claimed he would play it in all 12 keys. -- I hope I was right ;)

  • great job, sound really good

  • intéressant cette version pour clavecin

  • Excellent Bill Evans transcription!

Is there any possibility of paying for a copy of the transcription to this? I've always loved this version. Many thanks!

  • Bravo!! You know, the practicing will never end. As artists, we have to keep growing, learning, challenging ourselves every day. This was heartfelt and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  • @soulsistah100

Many thx Alicia, really appreciate. take care

  • @soulsistah100 I don't like the word "practise". I prefer PLAYING the music...

    All the best!!!

    Vik

  • Great job, keep workin. Bless.

  • this is simply beautiful! - my mother, being Irish, sang this to me when I was a baby, she would have loved to hear you play it in this arrangement with so much expression. Straight to my favorites. Have you played Keith Jarret's arrangement of 'Over the Rainbow'? I'm sure you'd like it. (Buzz me if you need the sheets) Thanks for the share - Paul.

  • @PaulBartonPiano

thx Paul. I haven't started to practice Over the rainbow, but I know very well that version from Keith; Simply moving and touching god's heaven. good idea for one of the next ones....see you

  • @PaulBartonPiano hey man please could you send me the sheets??i would apreciate it greatly,my email is klempar9@seznam.cz thank you

  • oh yeahh..

    one more thing.

    jamey aebersold said this..

"IMPROVISE RIGHT NOW,DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU PERFECT YOUR TECHNIQUES,SCALES,ETC..

MPROVISE RIGHT NOW.. There will be no music in this world if everyone waits ntil they're perfect"

More or less like that :)

    keep on the jazz.

  • i'll subscribe..

i'll make a video of my playing pretty soon..

  • @EndlessMagic

I can't agree more, but i got to learn how to play the Piano...the beast is far from being natural and I'm still in very early phases of my learning. Guess it will come (one I'll stop thinking how to place the fingers, and more at what I want to say, right?) - thx for your comment - much appreciated
