How could I miss that nice big lump of Boa Constrictor sitting by the pond?

I owned a little Boa myself, years ago. She was only about eighteen inches long. I had her for about six months. Raised baby white mice for her. Though I enjoyed her, I found that I had a natural sympathy for the mice, perhaps based on our shared mammalian heritage, that went beyond my feeling for the snake. Back to the pet shop she went, and for free!

Absolutely! Since I did value her life, as well as the lives of the mice, I got her to a place where someone who could take more joy in her presence would find her.
