Instead of waffling on about toilet habits... let's just focus on the fantastic sporting achievements of this amazing woman shall we. She is a credit to Britain. Have any of you ever tried running over 26 miles without stopping... I very much doubt it
@Japonica71 I agree. She is an amazing athlete. I actually do run marathons and during them sometimes you need a pee. The people who slag her off obviously have never run a marathon or they would know that! You take in so much water from drinking alot to stay hydrated, it's a bodily function. We are just animals after all. I say If you want to piss in the road, then piss in the road. If you manage to break a world record at the same time that's brilliant!
"My point is simple, yes, she evidently wants to win a medal forher country, but, only if it comes with a money reward too:)" She would gain financially (advertising sponsor bonuses etc)more from an Olympic Gold than any other race so that is just rubbish. Plus she WON the World Champs marathon and got about $50k - you could get 10 times that in another race - search "Geta Wami $500k"
Vulgar? Bet it would be different if it was a guy peeing hey? Don't see what the big deal is about. Grace and humility have got nothing to do with peeing in the street or having your photo taken after you've WON a marathon. It appears you really have no experience of running a marathon..

Great athlete, I just wish she wasn't quite so vulgar. Peeing in the street in one race and then upon winning the NYC marathon had to hang around the finishing line with baby hogging the limelight and getting in the way of the other athletes. I wish her well but she would be great in my eyes if she had more humility and grace.
Paula - you have inspired thousands of women to be stronger, fitter, and more confident. Every race you win, you win for thousands of other people. I admire you precisely *because* you had a bad day in Athens...but you woke up the next morning the same bad-ass athlete as always. Happy trails!
Well there's a surprise, the most lucrative marathon all year is won by, wait for it, Paula Radcliffe!
Strange how she suddenly finds the inner strength to win the massive money offered to the winner, yet, when the challenge of representing your country comes calling, she gives up as in Athens 2004:(
Perhaps next year at Bejing, this money grabber should be fooled into thinking the winner of the marathon wins money, not just a medal for themselve and their country, any thoughts?
As if she doesn't want to win a medal for her country? What? I can tell by your ignorant comments that you have no running experience. It would be interesting to know what fuels your deep hatred of Paula Radcliffe to the degree that you have posted passionately hateful - not to mention ignorant - things about her on YouTube and other websites.

Scary, are you stalking me?:(
My point is simple, yes, she evidently wants to win a medal forher country, but, only if it comes with a money reward too:)
She is the only athlete to insist on being paid for her Nike advert, all others make a charitable donation, and now, she is using her young child to try to win back my sympathy??? <----Disgusting tactic:(
I understand what you're saying Nigel1002, but I can't help but disagree with you. As stated in her autobiog in reply to comments such as yours, she missed several lucrative races in the build up to Athens. She also goes into the great detail in her book about physical difficulties she had at the time of this race, Bear in mind this is 9 months on, of course she ran this race better.
This is a very ignorant thing to say... If you know anything about running, then you know runners go through emotional as well as physical breakdowns... the human body can only take so much. She did not "give up". I would like to see you out there doing what she does on a daily basis. You need to think before you say anything, especially rude or insulting.

Why does this vid have so many views? All she is doing is running...
I was expecting to see a vid with her running with a fresh turd in her trunks or something. This vid is boring and gets a thumbs down from me.

My apologies I aren't clear in my last comment. I am referring to Athens 2004 and then the 2005 London Marathon.
