i love pits... my friends have 4 pits that have been around my son who is now 6 since birth. Zesus, Nikkita, Diablo and Trip are the sweeest and most protective bunch i wcould ever wish to have.. i'm more afraid of smaller dogs infact the only dog that i've been bitten by was a westie named whitie and he was nasty. It's not a bad breed it's bad owners!!!!!!

lol the chihuahua that ran up on my dog tried it again a couple days ago and i turned around and started running after him and he started running from me haha because he knows im not playing with him....the first time he came up tp my dog he tried to bite him so I turned around and kicked the fuck outta him...and he started yelping and took off running! Authorities who try to impose BSL and take away people's pits or pit types don't want to talk about or even admit that pitbulls have, from the very beginning of the breed, been bred to get along with people. if you bring this fact up to them and show them the statistics of thousands of pits who get along just fine with people, babies, cats, rabbits other dogs, etc. they either ignore you or wave you off like you couldn't possible know what you're talking about.
My fiance has two pitbulls and I have good and bad to say about them. Only one of the dogs is sweet and nice but the other he is very aggresive toward me. I have never done one thing to him. He did actually bite me so hard I bleed pretty bad and almost needed stitches but I didnt turn him in but he shouldnt be so aggressive for no reason!...so it makes me wonder about them sometimes.

Well you may have a point, but I never said I didnt like the breed. The other pit is sweet and loveable. Your Exactly right..You guys need to watch the Dog Whisperer and learn something about being pack leaders and learn that the pitbull is not just to be put in any home with no discipline..They all have their own personalities just human. Pitties, just as well as other dogs need good training and the right person to show them the right ways of being in a pack with humans and other animals. My apbt is good with just about anyone and loves my small animals and cats.He wld never hurt them or anyone.
it sounds like there are some leadership issues in the house. the dog dosent know that the people are the boss. he has sensed that no one is a true leader of dogs so he has taken the role of leadership in the house. he is aggressive towards you because he thinks that you are coming into HIS territory and what he says goes and since you might not do exactly what he thinks you should he acts out. these dogs need a strong leader.

Wow i actully teared up when i watched this. I was once afraid of pits untill i found a littler of pit bull puppies left to die at the side of a road. I found out later they were bread as fighting dogs the previous owners attempted to hide the evidence all the dogs they owned were killed but the litter i found. Some friends and i adopted and rescued the litter and no i have a best friend. I love my dog and he is the most loving considerate being i have ever known. Thank you 4 showing da real pit

I have so much emotion towards this subject. I grew up with pit bulls and they are amazing dogs but due to society's rep of them my dad doesn't want to own one in fear of something happening to it. When I hear my stepdad say these things about how these dogs are vicious dogs I have to sit and bite my tounge.

While I don't have a APBT, I really want one, but already have two Rottweilers. So on of the only thing I can do for the time being to help this breed along is thank the responsible owners who love their dogs. The other, is to constantly remind people that my Rottweilers sleep in your lap, yet my neighbor's mixed breed attacked me. So I ask you, which one would you blame for a dog bite?
I ve had Doberman Pinschers and now have 2 Rottweilers and while I love those breeds I decided to get a red nose APBT and my 5 month old male puppy is just the sweetest little dog I ve ever had,he has a solid temperament and is so smart...if only people would educate themselves they would see that pit bulls get a bad rep because of idiots that use them for fighting...punish the deed,not the breed.

I would love to have a pitbull, they are so beautiful but its so hard to find a proper breader as i wouldnt buy from just anyone!. Dont go to a breader to get a pit bull. People buy dogs from breaders when they are puppies, then the dogs get bad (you know go through the puppy stage) and they send them to the pound. Pounds put down so many pit bulls because they are "vicious", Save a dogs life get a pit bull from the pound. They truely are the best dogs!

The 2-legged monsters don't "train" them - they abuse, torture and drug these wonderful dogs into becoming 4-legged monsters. They are the minority, but because of BSL it effects all of the pitties. I love that none of the dogs (or not many, since I don't recall any) had cropped ears. If you aren't "fighting" them - which I hope you aren't, there's no need to "crop" their ears...I think they look much better natural.
ear cropping is only for looks, except if you are going to fight your dogs (which is tottaly wrong), however in some other needs it is necessary. but yeah they are only for looks on pits so there is no real need to crop them its just a taste in looks and i dont see it as a bad thing if you get them done right with a certified vet (specialy if its with lazer)

My son was recently deployed and asked if we would care for his pit bull while he is gone. I was a little leary because my 6 month old grandson also lives with us. Turns out he is the sweetest thing ever! I LOVE THIS DOG!

These dogs were bred as cattle dogs, family pets and are also used for hunting and ratting. They were all around working dogs. They were also used in bull baiting and dog fights. They have absolutely no human aggression in their history. They are not guard or attack animals. They are living,breathing, feeling creatures, not a weapon.

All I am really saying anytime someone gets bit by one of those breed, it gives them a bad name and ppl that impression. And the dog is actually weird cause I can pet him when my fiance is not around and he sweet, but if he is near he goes crazy...so what am I to think?

Your Exactly right..You guys need to watch the Dog Whisperer and learn something about being pack leaders and learn that the pitbull is not just to be put in any home with no discipline..They all have their own personalities just human. Pitties, just as well as other dogs need good training and the right person to show them the right ways of being in a pack with humans and other animals. My apbt is good with just about anyone and loves my small animals and cats.He wld never hurt them or anyone.

it sounds like there are some leadership issues in the house. the dog dosent know that the people are the boss. he has sensed that no one is a true leader of dogs so he has taken the role of leadership in the house. he is aggressive towards you because he thinks that you are coming into HIS territory and what he says goes and since you might not do exactly what he thinks you should he acts out. these dogs need a strong leader.

Wow i actully teared up when i watched this. I was once afraid of pits untill i found a littler of pit bull puppies left to die at the side of a road. I found out later they were bread as fighting dogs the previous owners attempted to hide the evidence all the dogs they owned were killed but the litter i found. Some friends and i adopted and rescued the litter and no i have a best friend. I love my dog and he is the most loving considerate being i have ever known. Thank you 4 showing da real pit

I have so much emotion towards this subject. I grew up with pit bulls and they are amazing dogs but due to society's rep of them my dad doesn't want to own one in fear of something happening to it. When I hear my stepdad say these things about how these dogs are vicious dogs I have to sit and bite my tounge.

While I don't have a APBT, I really want one, but already have two Rottweilers. So on of the only thing I can do for the time being to help this breed along is thank the responsible owners who love their dogs. The other, is to constantly remind people that my Rottweilers sleep in your lap, yet my neighbor's mixed breed attacked me. So I ask you, which one would you blame for a dog bite?

I ve had Doberman Pinschers and now have 2 Rottweilers and while I love those breeds I decided to get a red nose APBT and my 5 month old male puppy is just the sweetest little dog I ve ever had,he has a solid temperament and is so smart...if only people would educate themselves they would see that pit bulls get a bad rep because of idiots that use them for fighting...punish the deed,not the breed.

I would love to have a pitbull, they are so beautiful but its so hard to find a proper breader as i wouldnt buy from just anyone!. I truely believe that they are not bad and also believe its all in the raising of them. People have turned them into the dogs society see's now and dont see them for their true nature!!! Dont go to a breader to get a pit bull. People buy dogs from breaders when they are puppies, then the dogs get bad (you know go through the puppy stage) and they send them to the pound. Pounds put down so many pit bulls because they are "vicious", Save a dogs life get a pit bull from the pound. They truely are the best dogs!

The 2-legged monsters don't "train" them - they abuse, torture and drug these wonderful dogs into becoming 4-legged monsters. They are the minority, but because of BSL it effects all of the pitties. That's why we need to educate people and change our terminology. These dogs are not "trained" to fight - they are tortured and abused, beat into submission and willing to please the 2-legged monsters and then they thrown out or killed when they don't make enough money any longer. I love that none of the dogs (or not many, since I don't recall any) had cropped ears. If you aren't "fighting" them - which I hope you aren't, there's no need to "crop" their ears...I think they look much better natural.

ear cropping is only for looks, except if you are going to fight your dogs (which is tottaly wrong), however in some other needs it is necessary. but yeah they are only for looks on pits so there is no real need to crop them its just a taste in looks and i dont see it as a bad thing if you get them done right with a certified vet (specialy if its with lazer)

These dogs were bred as cattle dogs, family pets and are also used for hunting and ratting. They were all around working dogs. They were also used in bull baiting and dog fights.
