  • my favorate music is at 8:07

  • Boo Boo Boo was a sad song it made me sad

  • Fourteen year olds don't go out with ten year olds, except for the ones that are pedophiles.

  • So... mellow...

  • in before auto tuning

  • Phineas and Ferbs hated this for they lack an understanding of Classic Disney.

  • 8:37 WTF but other than that great RIP real Disney

  • dexter

  • Dear Sherman Bros...

    Irregardless is not a word...

    Love,

    Me

  • @Evilqueen1985 I am aware of that, but maybe YOU should understand that this is nothing more than a parody of popular music. Please take for example: "Lettuce do it" from Rutabaga Rag, and basically every over-rhymed lyric in "I'm Blue For You (Boo Boo Boo Boo)." Please also see every other made-up word song the Sherman Bros wrote, like Fortuosity, Gratifaction, and their most famous of all, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

  • @Maestrojosh87 Irregardless is not a word they made up to fit into a song... it is the incorrectly doubled form of a word that is already in the negative. Just because something is nonsensical doesnt mean it gets to throw out the rules of grammar.

  • @Evilqueen1985 Just enjoy the song.

  • Did anyone else notice the "Honorable trash box" at 3:42?

  • Professor Ludwig von Drake sure set the tone for BREAKDANCING! :^)

  • Can Ludwig shake it or what? XD

  • This is Ludwig Von Drake at his finest.

  • Woah Dexter has a great bass voice.

  • @johnhamilton08 It's funny I looked at that guy and was like "he looks familiar, where have I seen him before?" Then I see your comment and was like OF COURSE!! Maybe that's how Dexter got the money to build his lab. by singing!!!!!

  • this is so good. the style, the humor, the songs especially.

    love it!

  • puppy love lol

  • Hifi studio lol

  • @QucciMaMa Might as well be no different from "home theater" rooms today.

  • GOOD BYE BILL JUSTICE ='-(

  • R.I.P. Bill Justice

  • Honourable Trash Box? Hahahaha!

  • @lingeringdreamer I just noticed that too. Hahahahhah

  • Ludvig is going totally insane with his guitar. :P

  • Too bad we never got to see Ludwig do Psychedelia, Disco, New Wave, Rap, and Techno.

  • @Matt10670 At least enough to last up to 1999 so we'd get them all in!

  • For BOO BOO BOO, the "high school graduates throwing grad caps" sounds are used for the cheering.

  • @sygo7g: ah ok, thank you :3

  • I love this scene! 5:14

That cute pair of lovers next to the Jukebox! <3

  • @satekmary506094 It was all timeless!

  • Ludwig Von Drake sure knows how to SWING!

  • "Sentimental Oriental Boogie Woogie Bakery Man" was the last of the songs on my old record album, CANDY MAN AND OTHER SWEET SONGS. The title used was the last phrase spoken by the ladies in this short, "Boogie Woogie Bakery Man." Oddly enough, though, the number itself was not changed.

  • The guy is 14 and the girl is 10? That's so wrong.

  • 8:38 WOW!!!

  • 5:03 DEE DEE GET OUT OF MY LABORATORY

  • this is wrong on so many levels, no wounder its lost, lol

  • Man, Paul Frees can hit some high notes!

  • I think it was a joke about her being only ten, like kids our falling in love sooooo young.

  • Did he just rape that guitar while screaming "rape" D:

  • @Tacom4ster He says "race".

  • U Rock Ludwig Von Drake!!!

  • @ 3:50 the fortune cookie man has an 'honorable' trash box :D

  • 5:04 memory eraseing machine

  • Yipp guy just erased your memory by saying Yipp yipp yipp yipp bombombombom yipp dripp yipp bom de re Dom

  • Like this one, "The Wonderful World of Color, his version of "Mickey & the Beanstalk," etc. etc. etc.

  • So cool!!

  • Not that im complaining or anything.

but whats with the animation style when they start singing?

i expected Daisy or donald duck etc.

  • Honorable trash box @ 3:42

  • Does Ludwig have a french accent?

  • @MissInvisible11 i think its scottish.

since scrooge mcduck is also has a scottish accent.

  • @aardbeiify LOL you're an idiot. It's supposed to be German/Austrian, like a stereotypical "professor" or doctor.

  • @Lucyfire24 That is certainly what it is.

  • @aardbeiify And Scrooge McDuck's accent is not scottish.

  • @Lucyfire24 yeah, figured out by now ludwig vond drake suposed to be austrian/german. actually scrooge mcduck IS SCOTTISH

that why he HAS a SCOTTISH ACCENT.

check wiki. and the show ducktales and scrooge's comic's you find out he IS SCOTTTISH. and its not nice to call people idiots.

  • @Lucyfire24 scrooge mcduck is scottish.

  • They should have updated this. They need the disco, the 80's pop, the hard metal...dare I say even country?

  • 4:40

    DEXTER

  • ooo um... what's the von drake clip where he sticks some helmet on donald duck's butt and the machine blows up.... ? i've been looking for that one :S

  • I remember this from when I was a child!

  • 9:45 - The End

  • gosh! in the end of the japanese baker's song, their eyes are pure black! scary!

  • For fudge's sake! I think I just developed a crush on Ludwig from watching this. D:>

Heh, he practically braught down the house with his last number.

  • @nikki4life01 yeah, he rocked the house XD

  • Its Bing and then the Andrews Sisters.

  • This sliding paper animation creeps me out - what a contrast to the von drake stuff

  • Woofers and Tweeters actually existed back then?

  • 5:05

    Grown up Dexter

  • The song at 4:45 is now stuck in my head for some reason lol. :D

  • I may get booed for this but look at Ludwig at 8:39! xDD

  • boo. Who are you to judge the feelings one duck has for his guitar?

  • lol

  • Wow they got the Andrew Sisters to do the boogie woogie song :O

  • This is 1962? And he mentioned "Pay TV"at 4:43! Was there really such a thing back then or was that a premonotion of the future of television?

  • did anyone notice that on the record Ludwig was holding it had 'DisneyLand' on it

    X)

  • 7:10 "Now, everybody knows what Hi-Fi stands for.... High Financing!"

    Priceless xD

  • When I saw the art style in the music parts, I remember an old disney movie called Merlin Jones. Movie was live action, but intro was in this style.

  • OMG the end LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • The Sherman family is just so great!

  • woah... The end with the guitar is craaaaazy! man, Ludwig is bonkers in this one!

  • You know, in my opinion, this old 2D animation beats some of today's CGI and 3D animated series by FAR.

Ludwig you old coot, I won't ever forget ya!

  • They should do the sequel form 60s until now!

  • too bad Paul Frees passed away... :(

  • I love Ludwig Von Drake hes so AWESOME!

  • that thing that ludwig showed that plays records reminds me of the table my mom use to have, it was a kind of record player too but we got rid of it, what is it called anyways?

  • not sure why, but i don't really like paper-cutout look, just me....someone else may feel different

  • Wow, that was fun!

I've never seen Drake that NUTS! XD

  • ya! he had too much coffee

  • You're welcome, no problem thesagebrushkid. I'm partial to both the old-fashioned, traditional 2D animation and 3D. I don't mind CGI animation and there are some CGI animated films I like, just as long as all those who work on them don't go too nuts and overboard with them, and overtake 2D. If that were ever to happen, then there'd probably be backlash hopefully, should that ever be the case.

  • Not only is this a symposium of classic music but also a symposium of classic animation. I mean its all here. None of this CGI and computer animation. Makes you wonder of the guys of South Park were inspired by this show.

  • The makers of South Park where actually inspired by Monty Python's Flying Circus :)

  • For those of y'all who don't know, this short is now available on the Disney Rarities DVD set as part of Walt Disney Treasures. But since copies of these are limited, I suggest to hurry and buy them while they're still in print. I was lucky enough to purchase a copy of that set from a Barnes and Noble less than 3 months ago and it was released as part of the fifth wave less than 4 years ago.

  • Thanks for the info DaWalk. Just bought a copy off Ebay. Ludwig rules!

  • Dexter??

  • Wow, that's great! I've never seen that movie. To which movie does it belong to? or do you know if it's available on DVD?

  • So it was Ludwig von Drake that invented breakdancing. Who knew?

  • Disney created Stereophonic sound you know.

  • you're just newborn and im 68

  • Finally! It's been years since I saw the "Blue For You" segment as a tiny little thing, and for some reason it made me curl up in the laundry room and cry. He just sounded so forlorn, and I understood enough about love gone wrong to find it really sad, I guess.

Even if the animation did and still does unnerve me even to this day.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Whoa! A tad bit racist... Why is every stop motion/cartoon that I love racist? Must be the time period.

  • I love all the songs but especially the one at the end where Ludwig sings. so funny always brings a smile to my face.

  • The doo wop segment was in the DTV music video of the Marcels' Blue Moon.

  • love the songs. especially love ludwig von drake singing in the last segement.

  • Are the girls the Andrew Sisters?

  • IS that Dean Martin singing the first song?

  • Yeah, it's totally him!

  • That would be Bing Crosby...

  • 8:34 <-- why is he humping his guitar???

  • because it's hawt.

  • i know, whats up with that ?

  • @brieluvsKISS

I think that was Bing Crosby. I mean, the cutout even looks like him with the hat.

  • I lol'd

  • I'm sorry, but I think "You're just ten and I'm 14, but to me you're a beauty queen" is just...wrong.

  • Why? 14 and 10 is legal...

  • He said 13 XD

  • @champthom Who's to say? That was 1962, today she's 58 and he's 62 and they've been together the last 48 years and married for the last 40 years. 3 kids, 7 grandkids.

    No divorce in that family.

  • @champthom It's the early signs of pedophilia. The guy should be either 8,9,10 or 11 to love a 10 year old.

  • Woofers and tweeters and coaxials and baffers and crossovers and changers and washers and dryers! That part cracks me up!

  • i love his dance moves

  • I loved BOO BOO BOO!

  • BRILLIANT ending! hahaha I didn't know he had it in him to go that nuts!

  • That is the funniest animation that ever came out of the Disney studio, bar none. Usually they just did silly mannerisms and showing off their budget. Rarely laugh-out-loud a la Warner Bros. But that ending with Ludwig....that was just . . . unbelievable.

  • That was the best ending of a von drake cartoon I have ever seen. That's probably the craziest I have seen this duck go. AWESOME! I felt like Rockin'!

  • 2:15-4:22=Rashism! :P

This is just plain awsome. The grand finale musical number is just wondeful!

  • A crooner without arms is a little creepy.

  • Just like Bing Crosby LOL :)

  • Great stop motion just like Cockleshell Bay.

  • Could it get any better than this!

    Sweet!

Us 90's Canadian kids were deprived of Von Drake. Very glad I found him one way or another.

  • I was linked to this by the Bing Crosby Internet Museum Board.

  • I love the look on his face when he says "boogie woogie"!

  • I used to have this on an old VHS tape, but the tape ran out before the end of the show. It's great to finally be able to see the end!

  • These songs are great. I'm surprised that no one is still singin' them! The Rutabaga Rag is already stuck in my head.

  • The song "Boo Boo Boo" was on Disney Sing Along Songs: Fun With Music!

  • I get to be first to comment on this! I'm so happy to see this on here. Thanks again! ^___^
