This is a gregorian song, traditionally part of the mass. It is simply called Kyrie eleison. (= Lord, have mercy.) I'm sure you can find several versions of it on youtube. Many soundtracks sample it - for example even games like Mediavel 2: Total war - but really, it's not that great.

Although I love all the Ergo Proxy music - this is my favourite! Something about seems, ghostly, slightly dark, thoughtful, peaceful and intellectual all at the same time. To me it conjures up the image of someone who knows the meaning of their own existence, having searched a long time and now knowing what it is they must do.
