  • may I ask what model of CCTV you install outside your house? It's good quality video. I need one cause apparently, shoes have been stolen from the shoes wardrobe outside my house. I wanna catch the thief badly...

  • thambi frm hougang! hahahah

  • I don't understand the logic of those defending the thief.

  • He sure took a lot of time choosing his New Year Clothes~

  • why dont he steal a shaver instead.. at least we understand he's situation.. heh~

  • Isn't it obvious enough that this is the only unit on the level? Don't tell me you don't hang your clothes along your corridor. Stop judging others if you do the same. Tyvm.

  • Wardrobes outside, i bet you dont even have a house, panty sniffers.com id go to if i were you

  • he shopping?

  • Joke, who ask them hang clothes outside?! You buy the whole corridor uh? Jokers.

  • Haha this is hilarious LOL. Especially the part when he was deep in thought with his finger placed on his mouth and when he shifted the bamboo to gain acess to the other side of bamboo. Haha his quite smart, but not smart enough to realise the CCTV.

  • Lol. Ah neh doing his shopping. Maybe he is unaware that mustafa is open 24hrs.

  • @greybackshadow i agree

  • Seriously, both the victim and the thief is at fault. Don't hang your clothes outside, it an encourage thieves to steal and its not right to use the corridors as your personal space. Don't steal just because you're poor, that is nothing but an excuse.

I don't believe the thief is poor to that such an extend, he's being very picky on what clothes he prefers. A poor person wouldn't care. If he really is poor, why not steal those baskets and the cupboard at the back? I'm not siding anyone though..

  • simple logic: if yours then touch, if not take your hands off it

  • @3705471 Thanks Captain Obvious!

  • btw many families who live in a singapore HDB leave they clothes outside to dry, for those who live in private housing and are flaming just fo.

  • @forrrt wow... so its okay to steal if you're poor? what has your parents been teaching you man? did they teach you that murder was okay if the person had a reason to? I guess they did.

  • @boblee10005 sure because murder is the equivalent of stealing isnt it. what have YOUR parents been teaching you.

im not saying its okay to steal. but the user could have phrased her video caption in a different way. and not laugh at someone else's misfortune.

  • @forrrt and all those flamers - it's ok to steal but a crime to hang your laundry outside your house to dry! Also if you are poor you hv an excuse to steal! Wow... This is the new society that we are in? Bravo!!!

  • @Chilipadi it is a crime to steal clothes - I agree. This should be punished. But it is also a a nice proof of the reckless behavior in Singapore. This is a common floor and is not your private space and it is not polite to change common space in a private laundry. You should not only judge strangers behavior and ignore your own reckless behavior.

  • no offence but if you don't put your clothes to dry in the common corridor, none of these would have happened. i mean yes he's dumb and wrong but you're just taking for granted that you can make use of the extra space at your own discretion. Just sayin'. :)

  • I love that he is just taking his time and trying the clothes on haha

  • Those of you who have been flamming the owner of the place - here's a thought

you guys are condemning the victim and applauding the crime/thief... well done - Give yourselves a pat on the back

  • @Chilipadi nobody's applauding him. but he's only human. he needs clothes on his back too. a person isn't a victim just because they have had their clothes stolen. perhaps if the owner had phrased the video caption is a more appropriate manner? would be nice to see ppl having a heart and being a little more understanding of his situation.

  • @forrrt how much does the damn clothing cost? go value shop u can buy already

  • @ch0892 maybe every little money he has goes to food? =/

  • @forrrt aren't you being ridiculous?

  • @lizypg, the electrical box outside the house is installed by HBD and not by the owner! get you facts right first. Also, being the only unit on that floor, there is no blockage of any sort whatsoever

@shaunrv, if you have not had your place defaced by loansharks not once but several times you will not be questioning if they have the right to install the camera. we installed a camera at our place with town council's approval and I believe the owner would hv cleared with town council

  • why hasnt anyone felt anything for this man? if you see it from his perspective..he probably has no choice but to turn to a life of "crime"..stealing clothes when he can because he's poor?

instead of going "busted sucka", a "if you live in this area, hang your clothes inside your house" would have sufficed.

do some spring cleaning and leave out clothes you don't wear anymore with a nice note wishing him a happy new year.

  • @forrrt So you are saying if he would to steal money we should feel sorry for him from his PERSPECTIVE? and let him go. If this repeats we must again look at the perspective that he is poor, out of money again so he can steal again.

Ya and give him a note wishing him "good luck" when he steals.

  • @ch0892 your assuming if he was to steal money but he isnt stealing money is he? he's taking clothes. from a corridor, not a shop. instead of stealing money to buy clothes.

  • @forrrt excuse me, my previous comment was an example. anyway he's still a thief who steals not take (pls rephrase you sentence) and this is for you to refer "Steal = To take (the property of another) without right or permission. "

and you said: he's taking (stealing) clothes. from a corridor, not a shop.

what's the difference? shop got camera, HDB no camera?

  • btw... u saw that electrical box outside ur house? one droplight of cigg... BOMB! ur whole corridor burnt man! still can say u own dat damn corridor? HAHA! u wait for the authorities to come and summon you!

  • @lizypg authorities have issued summon to over 7,500 household (entire block) in the west for having their "Electrical Box" outside their homes. more summon to come in the following year of 2012.

if your estate was build before 2000 you will received the summon too.

  • not only it invites the THIEFT but also it may cause FIRE HAZARD! main reason why Town Council dun let resident placed items outside unit corridor. get it in ur brain ppl!

  • in the first place you shouldn't place it outside of your house..

    inviting thief..

  • i need one of these to catch bicycle thieves

  • @shaunrv oh please be quiet..!! this man is a thief! do you want to protect him !!!! the victim has a right to film you silly fool !!! if your mother was robbed in the same corridor would you not want the cameras there ??!! singapore is an amazng place and its safe because of the govt and the nature of the people!!! this guy is a thief, end of !! i hope he gets caught !!!

  • i like your video im sending the link to my friends so they can be aware as well. thanks for sharing this clip cecil! it's actually a cool thing you did. cheers!

  • Eh. Cecil, you are a poor man crying over spilt milk. And who gave you the right to surveill the common corridor? That is common property. I doubt you have the right to do that. You should get in trouble too. :)

  • You forgot to put a cash deposit box outside your house, he wants to make payment also easier for him LoL!!!

  • Atleast he neatly put back the unwanted clothings. Even clipped it back on for you!

  • You own the whole damn floor? i own the whole damn block, prick.

  • That mofo just left his pants on your clothes...

  • Hey it's Terry!Leticia's boyfriend.

  • Please hang your Armani's and polo shirts outside next time. I still hope you catch him though. Good luck!

  • bangala

  • Comment removed

  • Eeeew disgusting indian.

  • He's like shopping. He's like "Oh woah look, sales. It's my size! what about the other side? Oh, no cashier? Adios bitch"

  • @Donnnut92 Don lim..

  • @ZackkyNg yea?

  • Get tis guy & send to jail..

  • i thought he was gonna steal undies.

  • What a Douche Bag... Oh i was referring to you, the owner of the clothes!

  • That was not a thief! That's the fashion police! He was doing you a favor and throwing away your godugly clothing!

  • FT from India ..........hee

  • so thats where banglahs get their clothes...

  • love his shopping antics. appreciate the upload. :) haters gonna hate.

  • Well, ur lucky that that bangla took only your clothes... In my neighborhood, even LOCKED bikes get stolen... Nice way to place CCTV on your corridors, at least you know who to look for... :/

  • Ah neh shopping like he's in Mustafa like that. Dey power lah....

  • If it were me, i take everthing n sell to the karang goni man..LOL.. it is yr corridor, but it is illegal to block or put things outside yr corridor. Eh, u 1st time living in HDB flat is it? Make a gate to the corridor next time if the whole corridor if its urs.. U PEA BRAIN..

  • And to flamers who're laughing at others' misfortune, karma will get to you. See how it feels to lose something so dear even how much you protected it/fenced it/barricade it/put it behind bars, etc. Cry and moan then. Upload to youtube to express your damn misery.

  • Blah blah, a theft is a theft. Don't tell me all those store products that are left unattended are there for people to steal. So what, we need to barricade everything now? From newspapers to drinks, to home depo and all that stuff sold in NTUC and 7-11? This is all a matter of integrity. And if singaporeans need to barricade all their stuff, shows how much integrity people have now to be stealing others' property.

  • Sorry it happened to you. I hope they manage to catch the thief, such brazen thievery should not go unpunished. A good advice would be to bring in your clothes at night when no one is awake. I am not sure about your neighbours' thoughts on airing your laundry all about the common corridor, it's kind of unsightly.

  • Well, seems my comment didn't all make it into the window. Anyway, all I had wanted to say was the clothes weren't branded nor expensive, and if anyone is offended by this video... well, you can flag it as inappropriate. If not, just enjoy and have a laugh, be it at my misfortune or at the thief's hilarious antics. Peace to all. :)

  • @cecilpaprika you shld report this to the police!

  • Gotta love how lively the posts and discussions are here.... but thank you everyone, for your colourful suggestions and constructive (mostly) criticism. I like how it's meandered from theft to common property law, racism and even grammar. I do agree with most... hanging my laundry outside did provide temptation. However, i'd like to clear up two little assumptions most are making... and they are, yes I do own the "whole damn floor", and no, the clothed stolen aren't branded nor do they cost a l

  • @cecilpaprika if you do own the whole damn floor then for goodness sake fence it.

  • Why hang them along the common corridor, defined as a "public access area"? If I'm the neighbour I would take away all these clutter too, and dump them in the bin.

Civil Defence officers reading this, you know the Block and Street. Go issue the owner a summon for 'fire safety' infringement.

  • 1 moron deserves another

  • 1st thing, he leave his clothes outside to dry at like 3am?(see the time in video) LOLOL.. how to dry? i know some people hang clothes at night, but don't you think its common sense to bring it in once you are going to sleep? shows that the owner is really no brain or just damn lazy, secondly did he buy the whole damn floor? cause it seemed like he did. occupying every inch of it. Thirdly, the housing board people most likely going to pay him a visit and fine him at the same time HAHAHHAAHAHA

  • @TheKoreanRoc yeah stupid, lazy and selfish

  • Orbit good loh. put so many stuff on the common corridor, thinking it belongs to you.

  • And most likely the housing board ppl gona come down and give you a FINE HAHAAHAHAHAHHA self pwn really.

  • @TheKoreanRoc that is an awesome idea dude

  • self pwn

  • WTF! you occupy the whole common corridor like you own the whole damn floor LOL serve you right man!

  • Drying clothes at 3am in the morning? Full of win

  • It's a common area, not landury area retard. You clearly deserve it, along with the rest of the ppl who does that. If your excuse is that the clothes aren't able to be sunned in the laundry area in the house, get a mother house then. That should have been one of the factors you should have considered before buying it. If you say no money, then downgrade to a smaller flat with sun coming into the laundry. If you don't leave your jewellerys at the corridor, why leave your clothes to dry there?

  • LOL don't you love how he's not stealing but took his time to shop and even try on the shirt?

  • C'mon this is fake..

  • i hate it when my neighbours put their laundry outside and clog up the common walkway...

  • @memorylessme exactly dude

  • Firstly who the hell will still hang their clothes at night...i mean...comon!...seriously! Hey ts...low crime does not mean NO crime! and u shld be handing this in to the police if u havent already done so....

  • Isit me or does anyone else in the front 20 seconds thought that there's something that will pop out o_o

  • if it was a chinese stealing would you ppl write the same?

  • n u got ur unit no in dis vid..wow,target for more culprits to steal :)

  • THAT moment when you post a video to get one support but you got trashed instead. hahaha!

but seriously,YOU asked for it. If you don't want it to be stolen DON'T PUT IT IN A PLACE WHERE IT CAN BE STOLEN -.-'

  • It's stupid to put your stuff OUTSIDE of your flat (aka PUBLIC area). It serves you right since you're only inviting thieves.

  • Unfortunately for you, OP, its dictated in the law of Common Property And Open Spaces that you are not suppose to be hanging your belongings in common areas. Please refer to your town council for further details on the law.

  • He may not have trespassed property, but he's taking property belonging to someone else, and that is a crime. Would you like someone to steal your shoes you leave outside your house?

I hope his family is dishonoured for generations to come and bear only dead children.

  • yeah he committed a crime. true. BUT u urself r foolish enuf 2 hang it outside n LET it b STOLEN. dumbo.

  • NO one HANGS THEIR 'PRECIOUS CLOTHES' OUTSIDE LIKE THAT unless you are asking for it to be STOLEN

  • Foreign Talent

  • Lastly, it is a serious offence for theft. So THIS particular video is a great help to the police to trace who the thief is, at the same time, prevent future complaints from other tenants, and prevent him from stealing from other people living under the same block. No hard feelings! Peace! :)

  • this video is useless. Bring this footage to the police and they will not be able to help you at all. Do you seriously think the police will launch an investigation to help you find your stolen laundry? Investigations and stakeouts are expensive. To send that photo of that guy to all police in town is retarded because they would never waste any resources to help you arrest someone who stole your T Shirt that you left outside your own home. And that guy looks like every other Indian!

  • Second, try asking the public to put every single thing, includes shoes, racks, plants in the house to prevent others from stealing. They will just think you are being outrageous. Maybe your house is big enough to put it all in, but let us think about the majority. Third, it was rather the owner's fault to have put branded clothings and rather alot of clothings outside. They should have fold the clothes and kept it indise to prevent theft from happening.

  • @SxOxPxHxIxAxN if your house is too small, the just buy less crap. Simple as that. U need to dry clothes? Buy a dryer. Common corridor is not a front lawn.

  • @SGMediaVideo In the defense for the person who posted this video, the laundry is not 'dirty'. It makes no sense. Unless YOU hang dirty clothes and wash clean clothes. So if you want to outburst you anger, please post it correctly.

  • This is no "common corridor". I stay in that block too, and the area that is shown is not shared by any other unit, unless you're walking down the stairs (with lifts, no one uses the stairs any more, unless you're an exercise junky).

  • how much did you buy ur cctv ?

  • it's low-class idiots like you who turn HDB blocks low-class... fancy hanging all your rubbish outside & treating the COMMON CORRIDOR like it's yours. for god's sakes, keep your crap indoors, where people can't steal your shit.

  • @eskimoinheat totally agree with you

  • The common corridors of HDB estates are NOT for you to hang your dirty laundry!

  • looks like he is doing his shopping..dead in the night..

  • Probably lives in your block or in your nearby blocks....keep an eye out for him and report to police. They will probably advise you to take it to the magistrate's court.

  • He shouldnt be stealing and you shouldnt be putting all your junk cupboards and clothes on public property

  • Is no on surprised that he took how sweet time at stealing the clothes and still picks and chooses the clothes he wants?

  • LOL joker sia this guy

  • they see me shopping, they hating

  • Aiya give face la malay at least can sell curry puff indian sell curry puff meh? Be kind and let your two shirts enjoy their new owner~

  • @randomnessjunk then ask him go red cross shelter there wait for people to donate

  • For gods sake, hang your dirty laundry at home. Not all over the common area. If you leave all your personal belongings in a "public area" do not weep when someone steals it. Seriously, this video would do nothing for you. there are thousands and thousands of indians who meet that description. I hate people like you who think you can just layout all your personal filth all over the area. I laugh at your misfortune.

  • @SGMediaVideo - I totally agree with you

  • @SGMediaVideo Yeah..if its not IN your home, it ain't stealing. This guy's just practicing finder's keeper's!

  • @SGMediaVideo So anything left outside your house, anyone can take and it's not considered stealing. You're an idiot.

  • Shopping sia

  • Happy New Year Cecil..

  • @cybaster86- i m nt an Indian.. But seriously u wanna see utube videos on other races stealing?? If u gonna ask hw nt to b racist.. I think u are a big time Racist... Race is really nt necessary here at all...

  • @JusCrazyMe I guessed he post this video as a public awareness and to put the thieft to shame. Nothing to do with racism.

  • Have you thought of something called REPORTING TO THE POLICE?

  • Blanga ? o.O

  • Waaa cecilpaprika your flat is a nice 'shopping center' for him. haha

  • WTF.... was he "shopping"?!

  • Best!!

  • uhuh~ caught on camera rdy then?? how to catch?

  • with such actions... how can one stop themselves from being racist?? sigh...

  • Mustafa on sale.

  • He didn't even bother to cover his tracks.
