  • Every time I worked abs, I used to do 100 leg raises, now every Time i do them I increase the reps by five. So I'm at 115 every other day now.

  • Add a dumbell then do these followed by weighted sit ups, roll outs and then the plank for three sets to failure and feel the burn, works a treat

  • @Smile2k8Productions ...drink some healthy protein drink. it really depends on what you eat! eat a lot of protien (like nuts, meat, eggs, ect. ) oh and you can try to do diff excersices, maybe those would have an impact on you. hope this helps:)

  • @Faraudo2012 Wow that's cheating?? :/ the only reason i put my hands under my butt, is because i get lower back pain when I lay down flat on a floor or mat. I have no clue why.

  • @JemixShanie its what my track coaches and my sargents say. Its makes the exercise easier to but you hands there. And i have back knees, back, lungs, and liver. IM almost always in pain i know full well it sucks being in pain when your excerising but it doesn't stop me.

  • @jhtrico1850 I have found somewhat of a fix, I can do these while I cup my balls and face no discomfort, but the form is rather odd... Definitely can't do that in the gym.

  • Thanks alot, i tried these not so long ago, and it hurt my back as i looked at a tuturial that said to put some weights in your hands and keep your arms bent at a 90Degree angle while in the air, it hurt my lower back (i have a strong back), so i stopped doing the exercise. Thought i'd give it another shot but look at more than 1 Tuturial, and it seems putting my hands underneath my Butt, took alot of presure of my lower back. Thanks for resurecting this exercise for me!!

  • @denzelnolet happens to me tooo it's probz cuz u have an arched back thats what my doctor said

    you need to do a certain exercise if you do have an arched back and baisically lie on your belly on the floor and raise both your legs while keeping your knees together and your arms too and they should be straight do 10 reps and twice a day morning and night

  • Then that workout might not be ideal for you, try to find a different workout that doesnt hurt.

  • put a dumbell between your feet... thats wat i do... trying doing it on a bench to get a more fuler range of motion. safe

  • your probably not doing enough reps.

    and when you bring your legs down don't let it touch the floor.

  • we do in in a different way in karate. we are sitting up straight and then doing leg raises. it's much harder than lying on the ground

  • As many as possible, if you can do 40+, try adding weights to your feet.
