does this guy have a video teaching you how to tie a rope halter? i can't find any anywhere and i really want to learn how. i can't follow the drawings and diagrams very well that you can find on the internet...
@YoungEquestrians101 My grandpa and i built a rope halter from scratch a little while ago. They work great. In my opinion, the rope halters that are store bought dont usually fit the horse right. So i made one that fits my horse very well. :D
I don't make the choices for various grooming implements that the barn owns--only the stuff I keep in my own trunk. We have aluminum picks at our barn--it's not my decision. I personally now have one that the farrier made for a friend out of scrap metal that the friend gave to me.
if there is anyone out there interested in clinics or lessons please contact me through the content box or ari... and thanks to everyone who has linked my videos
Love the video! I happen to have a set of Oscar clippers and I just started using them. The hair seems to get way deep into the base of the blades though. The clippers seem to get pretty hot too, if I use them to long. Is there a way to keep them clean with out taking them all apart? Also is there a way to keep them from getting so over heated?
they make a spray that has oil and alcahol in it that helps the clippers stya cool also they make a thin grease that comes in a little tube that you can put on the head faces and the shaft that will helpif you use a blade head with a shorter guard that will help the hair from clogging the head
I use a small shoe brush for the face. Works great !

Quite far from it.

...ur 2 lazy to buy a real hoofpick?
chocogirl999 2 years ago
I had one for years. But as this guy mentions, they're a waste of money and don't do thejob nearly as effectively.

its like a couple bucks. ur REALLY lazy, rnt u?
chocogirl999 2 years ago
I know they're a couple of bucks. But they don't do a thing. Society has manufactured an entirely useless implement.

I've had so many requests for hoof picks I am now taking orders for them just let me know if your needing one
njpawley 4 years ago
I use everything he showed in the video.
Except the hoof pick.
My farrier said he can't make one.
So i'm stuck with the plastic one.
I love using the wire crush.
I got my friend using one to.
She has a Chincoteague Pony X Mustang cross, and when he gets his winter coat, and when he sheds he has SOOOO much hair.
It's great for removing his heavy coat.

NJ, I just tried out the WD40 method on my clippers, and that really made a difference.
Thanks NJ

the heat comes from the friction so just use some wd40 under the blade head and that will help keep them cool

I like that the video focused on getting useful tools. Where would I get a horse pick like you have?
MockingDiva 4 years ago
NJ Pawley makes them, I use one myself and they work real well. Just about any blacksmith can make one. I'll ask N.J. if he sells them.
