  • Thanks for a great breakfast on the go idea

  • @keithlmh - No problem! If you want more granola bar recipes, my health channel ("calmmindbusybody" ) has a few more of them (better video quality + healthier ingredients)... this channel is my crazy all over the place one. :o) --Clare

  • When do I add the honey or agave syrulmp. It never happen in the video

  • @yslmp Hi there - you can just add it in after you've added all the dry ingredients into your bowl. If you wanna check out my health channel (calmmindbusybody), I have some clearer and higher quality videos on making granola bars. Cheers! --Clare

  • hothhothothot :)

  • all that 4 some stupid BAR i could buy in like $1 to $2 and way better deliciouse, that/s a waste of time

  • @815badboy how cute :)

  • @higoaway Almost as big a waste of time as watching a video that doesn't interest you, and then posting comment about it for dramatic purposes?

  • very nice ..my son wants me to try it !

  • Will eating these granola bars make me look as gorgeous as you?

  • Hey! I want to hear your life story.

    Joking.. hehe

Anyways great instructional vid. Btw do you know how to make those Bars with the yogurt or chocolate in them???

  • @GuruEdward - Hey - I have three updated granola bar recipes on my health channel. Just click on the link at the beginning of this video to get to one of them. I have a chocolate granola bar recipe there. You can either add in some cacao/cocoa powder to your mixture or chocolate chips...whatever you'd like. I've never added in the yogurt before, but I assume they add a lot of sugar and other ingredients to made it solid. Perhaps I'll try to come up with a similar healthier alternative. Peace!

  • @higoaway

    Alrighty thanks!

  • damn thats alot of work :P

  • @moccina - there is a newer video if you click on the link at the beginning of the video. really doesn't take too long..especially if you double up the recipe and freeze some.

  • @higoaway nice, I didn't notice that link.... thanks, i'll check it out :)

  • @moccina - yer welcome! Hope the new video seems improved :o)

  • whoa these look like clif bars

  • Hey did u add the honey and the peanut butter also? Does it guarantee bind the cereal together and doesnt crumble?

  • @raodasg - Yes, I believe I added both of those in that batch. Try looking at my newer granola bar videos (there is a link in the beginning of the video)...they are probably easier to follow. And in regards to the mixture binding together, you really just have to play around until everything can stick together and form a ball. If your mixture is still crumbly, you can try adding a bit more honey/peanut butter... or try blending some dates or raisins as they help to bind as well.

  • Sweetie,

You are grinding up everything in a blender, not a food processor. You need a Cuisinart to do the job right.

  • @OmShantiBarbi - It's all I can afford as a student right now and it has done the job hundreds of times. That being said, it's definitely not as efficient as a more powerful machine, for sure.

  • @OmShantiBarbi - Oh woops, I forgot which video this was... this video is a couple of years old and I was using my parents old blender.. I don't use that anymore! :)

  • If ur food tastes as good as u look im in

  • Nice job! Im totally trying this!

  • @ssbbplayer100 yes you have to. You don't have a choice. If you don't, the cranberries gods will come out and beat your ass

  • @ssbbplayer100 - Nope, you definitely don't have to use cranberries!

  • @higoaway ok thanks :]

  • your hot

  • Great video. Will make my own bars now. HEALTHY MOMMY DADDY AND KIDDIES! Cheers!!! -the mommy

  • Yoyr hot!

  • Your recipe was excellent

  • Really nice video! Good job!

  • @hilahcooking - Thank you! :)

  • for the nutrition facts on the peanut butter nut and cranberry bar

i couldnt read the top part wats the calories for it

great video by the way im trying this

  • @jwapache28 - Yeah, that is kind of hard to read, isn't it? It says 67 calories. :) I'm going to be recording some new granola bar videos on my new channel. If you're interested, future videos will be on calmmindbusybody

    Cheers!

  • @higoaway thanks

  • I'm going to try this, only I'm going to make a granola bar mold so I can make them all uniform....

  • @kahonwes - Cool, yeah that's probably a good idea! Good Luck :o)

  • I'm going to try this, only I'm going to make a granola bar mold so I can make them all uniform....

  • Nice video Clare. how did u get the nutrition facts? is there any way to calculate it?

  • @juframo63 - I used the recipe analyzer on calorie count's website. :)

    caloriecount.about.com/

  • I'm definitely gonna try this!! Looks yummie :-) The music you have in the background... that starts at 1.24 - what song is that?? :)

  • @Kcalorin - Thank you! :D And unfortunately I'm not sure what music that is... I used royalty-free music so I wouldn't infringe any copyright. Cheers!

  • Yes they stopped making the nature valley banana nut bars in the UK. Now I can make my own :-)

  • hey, thanks for sharing this.... I'm an avid hiker/backpacker. I tried it out and they taste great, and are a much better alternative to the store energy bars.

  • @pattersonbrl Sweet - I'm glad to hear you enjoyed them. :)

  • Regular peanut butter is not healthy. Partially hydrogenated = trans fat. Amount of trans fat humans should eat = 0. Sub with some natural almond butter or at least something that isn't hydrogenated. Wish some substitutions I will try this out, thanks!

  • How long do you think these things will last?

  • can i fuck you with my granola bar please ???

  • Yes sir

  • Its missing a drizzle of honey.

  • ur bueatiful

    and...

    dat looks yummy xD

  • aw thank you... and yeah they are really good! :B

  • Looks great! Quick questions, is Brown Rice Syrup / Agave Nectar / Honey three things or one? And why did you use Nutritional Yeast? And last question how long does these bar last in the freezer and the fridge?

  • Sorry for the late reply! Those are all separate things... they are just alternatives you can use. :) The nutritional yeast isn`t necessary, but I added it in there because it has Protein and B12. It also adds a slight cheesy nutty flavor.

I haven`t tested these to see how they hold up in the freezer... I normally leave them out in an airtight container. They should last a decent amount of time... at least one or two weeks. They might just start to dry out a bit in the fridge after a while.

  • awesome video! I never thought to make my own! Now my imagination is going crazy with what I could put in them! Good thing I'm gong to the grocery store today, I'll have to add a few other things to my list! =)

  • how long do these last?

  • *favorited* thanks for the awesome vid!! ps i love your hair, looks great ;)

  • Thanks hun! :)

  • You seem different, Clare.

  • ooooooo those kinds of dates... so much easier than trying to fit this girl in my blender! cool!

no but really, i love granola bars and i didn't know it was such and easy thing to make. thanks so much for show us. i'm gonna try this soon!

  • I know, I tried to fit girls into my blender, too... they haven't returned my calls since. :|

Thanks mahn! Yeah, I was happy to learn how relatively easy they were as well!

  • do you think these would be good after high intensity running

  • :O Co-op.... I thought Co-op was a Saskachewan thing.

    That's awesome. They look tasty.

  • Are the nutrition facts that you put with them correct?

If so, how did you find that out?

Thanks for the video! it's a great idea.

  • Hey - thanks! I inputted the ingredients I used into a recipe Analyzer. you should be able to do a google search for one. The nutritional facts in my video are correct, but they may differ slightly for people depending on what brand of ingredients one uses. :)

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks for the granola bar recipe I always have them before my workouts.

  • This was way cool Claire. Really produced and edited, with clear instructions and information.

Brings back memories one of your videos from a couple of years back, in which you made another something.

PS: Why is my naked vlog video shown as a related video? LOL.

  • Thank you Pete!

haha, I'm not sure why your naked blog is in the related videos..;)

  • yum! I want to try this

  • :) You should! I need to make some more...so good. :B

  • Awesome! Ohhhhh...... you grind up the dates and raisins. That's why yours stay together better than mine.

Going to make some more of this goodness tonight.

  • Very Cool!

  • excellent vid! especially love the ideas at the end. i am always looking for healthy stuff to take to work.

  • Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video - I've made quite a few batches already. I don't think I'll ever buy store-bought ones again. :):) Cheers!
