@Josh 747100: Their music "will be influenced by their faith yes so it will be more upbeat and positive". Is Christian music always upbeat and positive?
Don't you know you're beautiful.. Everyone can go around pointing out flaws. But what they forget about is all of their talents and perfections. You were created beautiful, so why not live a good life :)
First of all, great song and one I'll listen to again in future I'm sure :)
As for Christian "branding" for this song, no it doesn't have to directly mention god for it to be about him. However just because the band is made up of Christians, doesn't mean all their songs are about god. Their music will be influenced by their faith yes so it will be more upbeat and positive etc, but the songs don't necessarily always directly talk about god.
BTW please please please check out my singing video!!! I am BEGGING YALL!!! If you watch it and leave a commetn telling me your HONEST opinion..i will subscribe to yall. thank you :) -Victoria
You do realise, the same logic you apply to brand this a christian song can apply to nearly anything? Almost any lyric directed at a person could be to 'God'. So yeah, Unless they directly say it I'll ignore it. It annoys me how people absolutely have to brand everything.
@Dragonix842 Except an extremely important device used by authors is that of "adaptability". And it's used not to mask the intent of the author but to reveal the extraordinary hidden in the ordinary. Lewis, Tolkein, Hewson (Bono of U2) amongst others do (and have done it.) it all the time. Take U2's relatively recent "Maginificent"...That song is much more than it seems. Peace.
in my opinion it is christian. i think that it is God talking in this song..just look at the lyrics: "your heart is my home" and "i know that inside you are crying" and "i've been right here all along" ...just think about it God is ALWAYS there for you and only He knows your thoughts and he is knocking at this girl's (or whoever's) heart. =) make sense?
@tymmy724 They're speaking as if the were god saying stuff like 'Can't you see what you mean to me' and 'I've been right here all along' that's what I was thinking they were trying to say.
Well, not all Christian songs have to outright mention the Lord by name. With the "Don't have to be alone" line, I think they're referring to the fact that no one has to be alone because God will always be present.
love this song! ive known about it forever but just kinda threw it to the side and now i was going thru my playlists and i waas like ohh i remember this hahaha i love this song sooo much!

@Dragonix842 Well they are a Christian band though. I learned of them on Daystar TV and was really taken by their music and his voice.

How is this song Christian anyway? It doesn't even mention God in it. Not to rat on seabird at all; I love this song but...?

christian songs don't have to directly say "God is amazing!"
