Cod is one of the most solid games ever, being easy to mod is not a downside its the developers puttin extra work into making the code and files accessible.

Besides dont flatter yourself if you think you can make maps for a game like Farcry 2, the devs there spend tons of time to make you a noob map editor that even a 12 year old can handle, but behind the hood there's tons of work.

Try COD radiant a more core editor that isn't simplified for noobs.

-The Physics in this game are non-existent. Infinity Ward has tried to cover up the games lack of realistic physical environments with various objects that go boom in a pre-rendered fashion. (Fire-hydrants, post boxes etc.)

-The graphics look the same as cod4. A lot of sprites, textures, and scripts have been recycled. LOL.
