  • red Lipstick was wore by every woman back then..when i was a kid I think I got lipstick on me just about everyday..LOL

  • Great job! Thanks for putting this up here.

  • Brilliant guitar solo in the middle of the track.

  • watch close - her & bobby darin have the same moves

  • @realfunny7 Yes, they moved in unison for a while until Connie's papa mentioned to Bobby that he'd prefer that Bobby not see Connie any longer. He mentioned this while pointing the business end of a .25 at Bobby's nose!

  • @Alikah1 who was connie's dad? vito corleone

    '

  • @realfunny7 Just a strict Italian father. It worked though. They never saw each other again.

  • @Alikah1 there is a another clip here where he had her commited - they are back together - this guy got his shit together - he said if he was elvis's father he would have done the same to him

  • i was 10 & had crush on her - still do - she was on a local radio station a few years back & sang the song right then and there no music she sounded great doing that

  • fukin cooooooooooolllll

  • Stereo even!

  • very nice voice .. love it ;)

  • isnt that little cha cha like dance she does so frikkin adorable

  • Im from Brazil, but I'd like very much to stayed there in 1958 until 1962. Just to see Connie beginning.

  • I always loved connie's songs. I was shocked when she was interviewed on the Joy Behar show that she admitted that Obama is doing a great job and Etta James said that she she did not think so. Even Etta James was angry with Beyonce for singing her song and also said that Obama is not her president.

  • her little dance is so cute aw!!! i love this song!!!<3

  • oh, from the time when teenagers were camera shy!

  • How rude! When they panned through the audience, the kids looked disinterested and half of them were chewing gum! How could they do that to Connie? I bet when they got home their parents were pretty upset. Oh!, It was The Beechnut Show, they were obligated to chew.........never mind. lol! :D

  • オオッーー、いい曲、懐かしい。

  • Syncing audio/video....always fun. Job well done!

  • @MSMediaRotterdam Hi there! Thank you! And thanks for watching!

  • My pleasure. Dick Clark also recalled the "IFIC" buttons in his autobiography, "Rock, Roll and Remember".

  • No better guitar solo was ever put on vinyl. RIP George Barnes - brilliant.

  • The "IFIC" buttons were given to the audience (along with free sticks of Beech-Nut gum) to wear during the show, to remind viewers of the sponsor's slogan, "Beech-Nut Flavor-IFIC Gum".

  • @fromthesidelines I love it! I have often wondered what the letters meant! I really appreciate these historic gems you have shared. Thanks so much! Have a great Saturday, Ken

  • @fromthesidelines i wondered the same thing. thank you!

  • Thank-you for uploading these great vintage clips of Connie. It's amazing that both you and Glamorous have been able to find these!!

  • @sas9023055 You are welcome! And I've seen some of the Glamorous clippings. He has lots of resources! He has used some of my clips in the past and re-uploaded them on his channel. And, of course, he sings a lot of the songs himself. He is talented and gets lots of "hits." But there are fans on You Tube who have FAR more material than either one of us. I'm just happy to share what I have. We all love Connie! It's so much fun! Take care!

  • Both Lipstick on your collar and Frankie each reach the the top 10 on the R&B charts almost unheard of for a white female singer to do this.

  • it seems that connie is too good of a singer to be in the rock n roll hof.connie is in the hit parade hof.she does deserve to be in rock n roll hof.maybe more people think of connie as a eydie gorme, rosemary clooney and sinatra type of artist. connie fits into many genres of music.

  • Connie,

You were the best of the best.

If it were not for you father...you would be happy today

  • THERE IS NO rock and roll hall of fame without this WOMAN.

  • Gerat voice and a great time to be alive.

Happy Days isn't just a television series it was a way of life.

Connie was a cutie, still a what's the word now ...HOTTIE

  • Just finished reading her autobiography "Who's Sorry Now?". Connie should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I hope she's inducted while she is still with us. Connie deserves this.

  • @13579mae I agree with you - as do so many millions of Connie's fans. She was a trailblazer for women in the early days of rock-and-roll. Let's hope that someday she gets the honor she deserves!

  • 1831 Hits; 1800 are mine! Love this gal...and that final warbling 'yeah' - WHEW! :)

  • @HickysBoy Hi there! Thanks so much for watching so much! I love it!

  • @doowopman49 Hello, Tom! You are very welcome! I'm so glad you like the post. By the way, I lived in Newark for a short time when I was a boy. I'm originally from Connecticut. Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope you'll subscribe to my channel!

  • Italian hot; I am in love. I could listen to this 1000 times and may do just that! And bless all those Beechnut chewers wherever they are today. I've spotted one of them in half-dozen clips; he certainly must have some great memories!

  • @cwoodn That is so neat! Love that you saw it then....and you were right, that's for sure. It's one of the biggest hits of the '50s!
