@DVodoo1 noone wants to know. if hes a professional or has been taught by a top man black belt, im sure hes more correct than your random broom twirling.
Why? Because when you're out and about and you're not carrying a knife, you can usually find a broom handle or other type of "long stick"..
Martial arts are about practicality, not that stupid hollywood glorification.. I bet you didn't know that the "ninjas" were peasants who fought the Samurai with garden tools and these "long sticks".. no? I guess you're just an idiot. Go back to watching cartoons dude, show some respect to those who've earned it
@hawnkblade you keep shitting here on youtube and one day you'll see this same guy grow tough enough to kick ur couch potato butt. just stop winning and encourage him a little.
@rudhrakha my comment was suposedly a "good" comment, i didnt meant to be rude, it was on the good way, because he is awesome in martial arts but he is still fat, how many fat guys do you know that are martial arts masters?
@Techcmusik22 When he settled his lawsuit against the 'bullies' who posted him on Youtube and clawed his way out of rehab. The interesting question would be when he learned karate.
@psychedashell Clawed his way out of rehab.... Or fought the Sith Menace to get out of rehab? With his newly learned karate skills! The force is.... present in this one.
@Techcmusik22 I think I like you, that made me laugh till I hurt. The force works in mysterious ways, but it's rather obvious why that one got a skeleton crew.
There's a lot of ways to use the Bo staff, and this may very well may be a sertain way to do it, what im saying is don't dis him just cuz you learned a totaly defrent way. He right, You can simply make up your own way and art on how to use it just by going to your back yard and finding a way that works for you. Even if is a fail, you'll learn from it and try a defrent way, or you will learn a nother style already learned from a master.
@celuler22 what staff r u using like tape on an end yes no? cuz that matters alot i would say do on most its better cuz it has less chance to crack/break :3 trust me if u keep holding it ull prob break it if its a weak material i fight with stuff like this alot for fun
@miciso666 its solid alominum:( i have no idea how to spell it but its is pound for pound as strong as steel and i cant remember what its called it mite be considerd a bo staff its the same hight as me
what the hell, i taught myself how t staff fight, what the hell kind f a "spin" is that, seriously. there is too much concentration on what u have to do with your hands.
@grassvally94 Actually with a lot of practice you can easily spin it this way pretty fast. At first it's tricky because people tend to over-think things but it becomes easy after a while. The reason for the hand placement is that it lets you use more power and you have much more control over the staff. Also fighting with a staff is much more than just spinning it. Spinning is good to block but it doesn't hurt as much as a strike so it's good to mix the two together.
This guy's a fucking idiot, every single video of his is wrong in some way, which makes it wrong overall. I'd rather take songwriting lessons from Justin Bieber.
yeah the changing hands shit isnt good practice, if you are striking or hitting anything by accident you have a lose grip and can lose that shit in an instant...I prefer to maintain a grip on most weapons, I study tonfas a lot and I love the way they feel, you really want to maintain your grip on those and never use the handle to strike because you can just lose it...
this is so very irresponsible. he just suggested taking both hands off of a rapidly moving stick at at the same time...at head level! these "techniques" sound like they were developed by a five year old in his backyard. PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME LIKE THE VIDEO SUGGESTS, YOU WILL GET HURT!!!
I took martial arts for 10 years. I know very much what it is about - speak for yourself.
By the way - the Bo Staff is the most deadly of all martial arts weapons. This is because it is so versatile. Easy to guard with, distance contact, and if you know how to use it to break someone legs/knees if they approach you to attack - then you are really using it for its deadly advantage.
Also why do people have a problem that its Christian Martial Arts. I find the Bushido Code very similar in ways to the principles of Christianity. Also aren't Buddhist monks who study martial arts religious - and no I am not a member of Christian Martial Arts or overly religious.
Every single one of you guys who commented on this page are ignorant, and not martial artist in the least. I train in Japanese Ju Jutsu and Kempo Karate, two legit arts, known in the international soke council of the world. An I can say that none of you have real knowledge about what martial arts really entails, for one : Ignorance of other arts is very dishonorable, because as a martial artist you except all martial arts and respect all instructor.
@samuraishonor19 So that means you respect that Dim Mak guy who claims to be able to knock people out simply by waving his hands at their faces? That's a pretty open-ended world view you got there, Lou.
wow, yet another individual mistaking public speaking for legit martial arts instruction. and "christian martial arts"? thats like having a "buddist barbeque" WTF has the world of MA come to?
Wow. You sure told me (learn to spell). Now I feel so horrible I could just ... not give a rats ass what you think in any way what so ever. Got anything else slick, cause I still stand by my response. Or are you going to add something beyond picking on him being, as you put it, a "Fatass non asian?" It's a good clip and you aren't giving it any benefit at all.
I'm actually not "harassing" anyone, but hey, if that sort of commentary is fine these day, I'm all for tolerance. According to Gahndi we're all "blind" now anyway. I feel bad for the guy putting this video up. He doesn't deserve any of this. Which was why I made the comment in the first place, by the way. He didn't deserve that.
