They can stall b/c of carbon in the combustion chambers. When you fist go to start, the fuel soaks into the carbon first, stalling the car.

Anyways, in order to get rid of that stalling, clean the spout connector and put some dielectric grease tin the female connectors

The motor in this video was mostly stock with an edelbrock upper and lower intake, 65mm throttle body, 75mm mass air, bbk cool air and various little things like no AC, blaster coil, and an alluminum radiator w/ electric fan. Just pulled that motor last week, dropping a 347 in :)
