  • Excellent vid.

  • Thank you my friend! Much respect to you.

  • grat class i was playing my shakuhachi while watching this. fun to see jo, sword, and unarmed vs jo etc.... all in one vid 5 stars

  • Thanks Jason! Thanks for your kind comment bro. Have a killer day!

  • I love the Jo but im yet to understand how you do that nikyu. I mean most of the time a nikyu is done with the other hand as a cover to prevent uke from "escaping". Is there some sort off special angle or just pure speed?

    5 star!

  • Connection to Uke is the Key to this. Control his center. Take his balance and pin him and control. He won't escape because he is in the lock. The hand on the top is not even needed at higher ranks. I might shoot a video on this soon to explain. Thanks for your comment. Take care and God bless.

  • Nice work with the jo. Job well done.

  • Thanks stalf5. Hope everything is going well with you bro. Take care!

  • Great video. It shows alot of skill in the teacher and the student. Definitely favorited and 5*s.

  • Thank you very much. That was very kind of you. Peace!

  • Robert that was probably my favourite video that you have done and hence put in my favourites . 5+ stars. I loved the jo work you did in the video. Your students did an excellent job too. Many law enforcement agencies teach the same technique that you demonstrated with the jo if their straight stick baton is grabbed by an assailant . A great video

    Cheers

    Rick

  • Thank you very much Rick:) I will be doing more with the Jo and Ken. And some work with the Asp for those who can carry one. ( Some states they are legal to carry here.) Have a great day!

  • This looked like a great day of teaching the students Robert! 5 Stars to teacher and students. By the way I love this song have it in my library as well. All the best brother!

    David

  • Thanks David. Peace to you and yours!

  • A five star video. Weapons are intregal to Aikido. Thank you for sharing

  • Thank you for your comment. More to come soon! Peace!

  • nice jo waza

  • Thanks Aikidunk:)

  • I find myself watching everybody's feet (as part of looking for parts of stances or katas for this martial art that might go into practice when sparring like this) but I cant see them. Akido is the other martial art (besides Uechi Ryu) that I would be interested in trying to learn/learn more of, and am curious about it.

Are the four points in the description like the 3 main principles I know for Uechi Ryu, like the 4 main rules for Akido?

Very well done video, thanks ironfisteagleclaw :)

  • Hi drooooopy:) Great to hear from you. Yes most systems have set goals and rules. Thanks for watching. Keep in touch my friend!

  • I especially like the sword technique, not enouph of it on the web

  • Thanks. There will be more soon. Peace!

  • nice video.

  • Thanks Akshay09k. Have a great week!
