According to Genesis 48:8-9 Jacob was very old and very sick and "his eyes were dim for age, so he could not see" and when Joseph brought his sons before Jacob t, he asked "Who are these?" not because the kids were weird or had blue hair, it was simply because Jacob was blind. May my Lord, the G-d of Abraham strike Rabbi Evan Radler for changing a story from the Torah, so that Rabbi Radler will not be able to speak lies again and preach abomination.
