  • nice accent :D!!! but nice videos helping me... a 15 year old!! :D

  • Don't how i missed a couple video,s ? i must be slippin but hell man you can build ,your teaching me patience ,cause i tend to rush my stuff ,but not you ,you know what if you had doubled everything you could,be sold a set off to someone to pay for yours.

  • Awsome trick with the welder!!

You got some series skills kickin my friend, I'm learning so many cool trick from your video's :)

  • Your welds look excellent! Cool shop!!

  • hey grouta wheres 11? lol

  • @musiclovr2 Working on it now

  • That thing is awsome!!

  • Hey Groutaone. Just had an idea if you wanted to make both arms square and in line with each other. You could lay a long piece of tubing across the cage you made earlyer, right in the center of the a arms. Line up where your expecting the sprocket and bearing carrier with axle to go, and then line up your hubs to the center of the tubing as well. Im sure you will get it square,

  • @newt20002 This would work all right, the reason I measured off the original frame was I didnt want to multiply any slight geometry errors, if there were any, always best to go to the source to get it square

  • @groutaone right on, very true. I guess once you start getting the axles with cv's in you could always adjust the hubs (forward and backward) to keep them in like and square with the sprocket and bearings referring off the original frame. i cant wait to see this finished, Been checking up everyday for a new video.. Maybe one day ill have to do something like this to my homemade buddy.

  • @newt20002 You have a cool buggy project you were working on also, nice bent round tube frame and all, how far are you with it now?

  • @groutaone Thanks Groutaone. Right now its at my cottage in storage for the winter, I can't wait to finish it up this spring, (we don't go to my cottage during winter) right now im machining a custom forward/revers transmission from scratch, Planned it out myself so hopefully i can get revers on it. Also im going to have to rig up some sort of automotive fan behind the seat to turn on at a certain temperature. Not sure how to yet..

  • @newt20002 Wow thats uber cool, what will you use for gears in the trans?

  • @groutaone ill have gears already that i managed to find for the aplication, very strong, Although i will need to somehow manage to make a 1" square hole in the center of one of the gears to allow it to slide side to side on a shaft 1 square shaft''. Still in working progress It will be one of a kind.

  • Why not rotate the pipe clock wise in to your wire? It would make a much stronger weld as far as penetrating the pipe. I've said this once and ill say it again I'm sure you have done this much longer than me lol but care to explain?

  • @refns2005 The only reason was the weld ended up looking nicer in this direction and I thought there wouldnt be a strength issue at all

  • Really like your videos and your projects, and you are obviously a really good craftsman, but i am really curious to know your profession? :)

  • it looks really wide like are you gonna keep it like that or shorten it

  • @CanadianDirtbiking It's going to be wide like this so I can get the huge travel that I'am after

  • Love the videos; all of them (that I've seen thus far). You are a true Renaissance man! I do however miss that guy who looks like you on the acoustic drums in your "non royalty music."

  • @Babynutria Been a while since I had a chat with that guy, may have to see what he's up to

  • @groutaone "Like"

  • Great job! This is bit of a off topic question but what size is your garage? I cant help but notice its heated and the good use of insulation (your wearing a t-shirt in a canadian winter), the quality of the cement foor, two big bay doors, and great lillumination. Looks like a great place to work. But once again wicket job on the buggy!

  • @2StrokeSmokes Thanks, the shop is 30x40, a real nice size, I dont skimp on the heat, more fun to work on projects that way

  • are you going to upgrade the powerterrain? like a cbr motor? or gsxr?

  • @zeekdavis11 Been thinking about it, but I will run it like this for a while

  • Creative mofo ain't ya?? Lookin REAL good my friend! :)

  • @rekjavicxxx I think there's a bit of mad scientist in us all ha ha

  • I need more shop space like you've got so I can get both of my CR500s done. :)

  • @vvtheduckvv Good plan, lots of people are waiting for you to get them done

  • awww still no action whit the new ice tire :(

  • @levianthan28 Its coming to a groutaone channel near you,

  • I dont understand why its so wide but I will keep watching to learn why! Great work and video.

  • @brihosk Thanks, the plan will unfold shortly

  • best canadian on youtube...great work

  • @doberfag Idk, thats a real generous comment, makes me smile if nothing else, thanks buddy

  • I really like the foot switch and twist tube weld technique. I think this manual method is interesting and could some how be used to weld tube to tube joints on bicycle frame without using a CNC robot arm. I am building super short tandem bicycles.

  • @Luminaring I think there would be a lot of uses to be found with this remote switch, tube welding is awesome like this

  • Wow! That super wide!

  • @tmaxxkills How wide is it some ask, its mad scientist wide

  • Thumbs up if you want the great groutaone teach us how to weld!!! even if the thumbs up thing doesn't work, i sure do want you to give us lessons on how to weld and types of metal and the types of welding machines and all that... I believe that i would surely understand better from you oh great one = groutaone!!! xD if my wish isn't granted, then i hope that you consider talking a little bit more in your videos when welding about what you used to weld (type of welding machine, type of metal etc)

  • @foxuae03 I think last time I started talking about the welder we were all interupted by that noisy two stroke dirt bike ha ha, thanks for the video idea, I may start to include some welding tips

  • @groutaone just to let you know... I went and made a video of me sand bashing with my suzuki 450 quad, cuz i still didn't get a 500 honda like yours :P... anyways... i got jacked in the process!!! lol someone broke my jeeps window and stole my iPod and house spare keys!!! i'll upload the video on youtube in a few... xD

P.S. i might get a 450 yamaha... is it as good as the honda 450 you think?

  • @foxuae03 Dude that is real bad news, are you going to change the locks on the house? I just wish these people would get cought red handed more often, I wont make a call on the Yam or Honda, I just havent been around the new four strokes enough

  • @foxuae03 ive had every new 450 dirtbike and it doesnt matter what you get, i am originally a Honda man but they are all great bikes. lots of new innovation with Yamaha and Kawi, i wouldnt say anyone is better than the other just buy what ever you can afford and if price is not a factor get your favourite colour haha

  • @TheMrDacious A big thank you for the info sir xD I found a used one and already tuned up! cheeper than a brand new one thats for sure, but still trying to figure it out financially if you know what i mean :) anyways... thanks a million.

  • You some of the best videos on YouTube groutaone!

  • @onlyford70 Thanks buddy

  • @groutaone next question is will it still fit out the garage door? how will you transport it? too wide for an average trailer

  • @79dodge4ever Good questions, got it all under control, will explain in a vid,

  • @onlyford70 groutaone is the best on you tube!

  • Damn, that thing is wide! I think you will easily make your goal of 36 inches of travel!

  • @tunerguy82 I'am sure I can pull it off now, the CV joint angles will handle it, next is the front outer tie rods, we will find out yet how much they like the angle

  • will that even fit coming out of the shed??

  • @yittymitty11 No, its going to take a few tricks to get it out ha ha

  • Watched the new Groutaone vid and now I'm happy. lol Great stuff man!

  • @BORDERTRASH01 Lol, thanks bud

  • @UnitFmX11 I dont know if you have ever put a lift kit on a 4x4 truck but it seems its always the same thing, put in a 3 inch lift and then its not big enough or the guy that puts in a 6 inch lift says two weeks later, man I should put in a 10 inch. My goal here is 36 inches of suspension travel in a mini buggy, probably the first time done on the planet, if I would build like the guy that put in the three inch lift on his truck I know what I would say two weeks later

  • hey i have a question for ya! in your next video or something can you show us where your going to put the suspension braces on the A arms and on the body, thanks a lot! I'm doing the exact same project at home and i want to no where mine should sort of go. :)

  • @LiveForAdrenaline95 All that stuff is coming up in the next few vids

  • @groutaone sounds good!

  • how wide is it?

  • @ttaannss Stretched out like you see here its about 11.5 feet wide with wheels on

  • @groutaone so with suspension about 9 1/2 foot?

  • @ttaannss I think fully stretched out suspension it would be about 10' 4" wide or so

  • i think you might need another brace going from your hub to the front of the frame, so the wheel can't be forced forward or backward? i don't know if you know what i mean but you see it on some sand rails.

  • @smokey756 The A arms are not nearly finished here, next time you see them you wont know they are the same ones, hang in there for a video or two

  • Nice job!You still got a lot of welding to do?

  • @abidou1999 Thanks, yep got tons to do

  • That welding set up was awesome. Love watching your videos

  • @MarshallGirvin Thanks bud

  • As always looking great...

  • @IHcubcadet Thanks bud

  • i guess i have to wait and see

  • @groutaone Can't wait to see it in it's final glory!

Who needs ☛ The BoobTube ☚ when there's people like you doing things like this on ☛ The YouTube ☚.

  • @Goregoon Makes me happy to know some find this entertaining, makes the videos fun to make

  • cant wait to see it all done

  • @jeremylee99100 Be a while but at least the next few vids from here you will see some big progress

  • Do you plan on powdercoating all the rear tubing?

  • @traxxluver I think if I ever have this machine just right I would consider powdercoating however I always seem to find something to do on it so for now I dont want a real tough finish on it as I need to get at the bare metal once in a while for some welding here and there

  • Once again great work!

  • @Futurensen Thanks man

  • who else thinks groutaone is the coolest mechanic on youtube.

  • those are the same reasons I watch your videos - because I can and because I want to

  • @WhackTheWax That seems to work for a lot of situations, but not so well when you get cought speeding ha ha

  • ok now that is getting to be way to sweet....cant wait tell your done.......

how is the ice tire comming

  • @pain250x I've been on the ice with the new tire, just have to edit and upload

  • i cant wait until you finish this

  • @vipdanny We are kind of the same then ha ha

  • you and davidsfarm could have created the most amazing machine together! to bad he is off youtube:(

  • @rubypuppy7 I think he's back, last I saw he is davidsfarmlives

  • this is going to be awesome when ready !

  • @totalitaer2000 Should be fun

  • not afraid to bend the tubes?

  • @espogoil Wait till you see the A arms finished, its all good

  • I posted a comment saying "please tell me you're going to cut those a-arms down a bit." Then soon as I posted you said something about measuring and cutting them down lol

  • @refns2005 They only got a little trim, like a fine hair cut heh heh

  • Will you make the all pivot points greaseable with zerk fittings? It sure is coming along nicely Buddy. If you get a chance, checkout the music vids 500 and I did on my channel.

  • @edzgarage I dont think I will bother with greese fittings, this thing hardly ever drives because of crash damage or upgrades lol, I'am coming over right now to check out you and 500 shredding up your guitars

  • Wow, What well built toy.

  • @roastingpeanuts Thanks bud

  • I like that foot switch set up you did there at the end. It made the welding faster and smother. Nice work.

  • @paisteboy Like a third hand I never had, and I dont even have to pay that extra hand by the hour lol

  • Cant wait to see this thing on the ground awesum

  • @twiztid1fiddy Next vid I have some great stuff in store

  • Super Cool Video!

I thought the upper A arms would need to be shorter to keep the Hub aligned.

But I'll just keep watching because I'm very Impressed how you go about fabricating & welding your Buggy.

Can't wait for the next video!

  • @GerryK61 Maybe the next vid I will show the hub go through its travel cycle, I think you will like it.

  • I am addicted to this series! Awesome progress!

  • @GotBait Sounds like you gotbait and I got youhooked ha ha

  • its gunna be so nasty when your done

  • @chrisstomper86 Should be fun for sure

  • wow that thing will be a beast!!! Looks amazing so far!!!

  • @2LateIWon Thanks, next few vids it will really take shape

  • getting fancy with that welder .

now you just need some pipe fitter stands :)

  • @500passwords Not as fancy as that rock n roll I heard coming from your channel, you and Ed know how to play a tune

  • you are so inspiring groutaone! for every update i just want to go out in the garage and make something insane and awesome, but the lack of tools always kills it...

  • @onlyreallifematters Thanks bud, I can see how running to the shop with a great idea and not have the right tools would kind of take the fun out of it, if you lived next door I'd help you out

  • Nice rigging of the welder.

  • @vipermech First there was Robo cop, now Robo weld, dont think it will make it to the movies though ha ha

  • Looking good man :)

  • @Rastajoni Thanks

  • I hope you understand but it would be real disappointing for the fans to see this come to life but not see it run each time it runs [get my drift hmm?]

  • @pip3214 Have no fear, vids will be made

  • A long hard work, but the toy is being very well!!

  • @pinduline So far so good

  • Oh ya, forgot to add this. I love your homemade robotic welder!

  • @Goregoon Thanks, thought a few guys would get a kick out of that

  • that sucker is gonna be wide... hahaha seemed like alot of set up to do 16 welds...but its a cool idea for mass production

  • @gassolean So much prep compared to how much welding time, all part of the project so its all cool, thanks for watching

  • Sweat Job Man

  • @shark2235 Thanks man

  • love the idea of the foot pedal.. that is ingenious..

  • @kary1982v6 Its kinda like a third clumbsy hand

  • looking real good buddy!

  • @lee1kawasaki1 Thanks man

  • The length is what keeps messing with me. Is the ride height itself going to be increased along with the stance being wider?

  • @canammx1 Obviously. It's going to have 2+ft of ground clearance.

  • @canammx1 Hang in there buddy, I think the next vid it will start to show where I'am heading with this project, When finished with tires on and fully extended it will have just over four feet of ground clearance

  • @groutaone sounds like your gona have to put an R1 motor in there to power those big ol' tires.

  • @jarjarlol Thumbs up

  • that's coming together really well. Nice job

  • @TheTuntso Thanks, so far so good

  • Geez you may need a ladder to get into the thing after your done :) How much ground clearance are you going to have when your done?

  • @Parthurs Ground clearance with tires on and fully extended would be just over four feet

  • that was a great Idea with the foot pedal!! I thought of doing that once, but never did!! you think you could show us a quick video of that project!! your little measuring stick is another great idea!! I like to use Story Poles myself, they don't lie!! Great stuff Buddy!!☺

  • @805ROADKING Thanks, I will include the foot switch in another vid, thanks for the idea

  • Almost done. No one gave me a shield so I can weld.

  • @Gasser4x4 Hows your eyes after that?

  • I think you need some help, from your other self. lol

  • @NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000 Oh no not that trouble maker again ha ha

  • How much hp´s in that engine? I was just wondering, because of the extra weight what comes with this modification..?

  • @sellyoursoul90 Its a 700 ATV engine, about 45 hp

  • is that the finished length of the rear a arms ? seems to wide to me ?

  • @colinmcrae09 Yep thats the length

  • @groutaone jesus thats wide, how wide is it going to be once the wheels are on ? probably looks wider due to the mudguards still being in the old position lol

  • @colinmcrae09 At ride height with the arms down it will be about 10.5 feet wide, another video or so from now it will start to show its true shape

  • lerning so much from your video's. love how its looking, good jop m8d

  • @jonkr Thanks for watching

  • @groutaone i can say every time i see this vids in my sub box i know the mad hatter has been doing work lol can't wait for the monster of a beast to come alive... and r u using the original tires

  • @jonkr jij bent zeker nederlands:P

  • BOOM PART 10!!

    Awsome work man!!

  • @XURASPaperBurn Thanks bud

  • its coming along pretty good

  • @schwinnprotocol So far so good, the next few vids will start to show what it will look like when its done
