I'd like to set something straight. Lately I hear the word "Southies" thrown around to describe anyone who is from South Boston. There is no such word! A handful of kids from Southie are not called "Southies". A singular person cannot be referred to as "Southie". I don't know where or when this started but it didn't start in South Boston. Southie is short for "South Boston", South is an adjective, not a noun.

What was the fucking point of this video? All you managed to do was make the people of Southie look like cunts by you fucks making this lame video. Couple of points: 1) S. Boston isn't "beautiful downtown Boston". If you lived in Boston, you'd know Southie is nowhere NEAR proper downtown. 2) I live in S. Boston (W. When I heard this guy say " downtown Boston" I thought maybe he had been out of state for 50 years or something and got amnesia. Southie is in the hood. Its not downtown. @IKeepBadCompany South boston is actually right next to Downtown and parts of Southie are considered downtown, just like some parts are considered Dorchester. I lived in southie (Dst and OldHarbor) my whole life except the last 2 years. I also worked downtown.

And we dont drink? cmon seriously, i started drinking when i was 16. I dont anymore but my friends do. And those who dont are on drugs.

I did read your comment you said Southie wasn't anywhere near downtown. It's the next town over.lol. I worked in the Financial District. All you have to do is walk right across congress, or summer st bridge and youre in Southie. If you go Broadway bridge then you go threw the South end.
