The most underrated film of our day. Will Smith hit a homerun with this performance, the dialogue was perfectly written and J. Michael Moncrief was the perfect choice for the narrator as a little boy. Although at the end of the film its stated to be fictitious, I believe the character of Randolph Junuh to be based on the historical character of Johnny McDermott a young golfer in the 1910s who suffered a tragic PTSD incident who occasionally came out of the hospital to golf tremendously.
