I like using chrome and firefox for my Windows partition and Safari and Chrome for my Mac OSX partition, and if I break out my mouse I use firefox on mac. I have tried opera but its not as fast as the other browsers I mentioned above for me. I have a $2500 laptop with crappy winstream(3mbps download, .64mbps upload).

what a bunch of retards!! There is no WORLD'S FASTEST BROWSER! it all depends on your RAM and Internet speeds. Some people like IE, Firefox and Chrome... me personally like Chrome because you can customize it the way you want it and it works for me.... plus I am a google freak.. i love everything that Google makes.. Most hackers and people with a certain degree of knowledge prefer Firefox... and the regular user that doesn't care use IE. I tried Opera and is not bad but I do not like it.

Don't know about IE9, but IMO MS did this "hardware acceleration"-stuff to hide that their software is bloat. Make the GPU run the bloat, and it all gets faster... wow, brilliantly thinking. Instead of optimizing the browser-program and the code itself.

Speaking of Opera, it is very customizable, and I like it, but it is too big for my use. I use Firefox and Chromium in my daily work.

Sorry, but that is simply not true. Don't get me wrong, I really like opera, I use it as my main browser because I love the features but it's not by far the fastest browser (which I don't care about because my PC is powerful enough to not even notice Opera is running). Last time I checked (that is literally last time I checked) IE9 was fastest and very close behind was Chrome.

In a test in the beginning of 2011 Google Chrome's preformance was the best (10 version) but Opera was just a couple points below it. So, Google Chrome didn't win by much. I still use Google Chrome. (For Angry Birds :D) But I use Opera more. :)
