  • if you live in newfoundland then you know how much we have been pushed around and scammed by the federal government since we joined confederation... we have no jobs our roads and streets are weathered and mangled ... our schools are below standards the housing sector is in shambles and the social services here are minimal... i think if we became an independant nation of its own we would be much better off!

  • Or the Quebecer Bloc (QB) could offer an opportunity for Newfoundland should Newfoundland sovereignty be an option, and become the political vehicle for both NL and QC sovereignties in Ottawa.

Which vehicle the Newfoundland sovereignty movement will use depends on how far left or right Newfoundland sovereigntists are. The Quebecer Bloc would have a better appeal if the sovereigntists are mostly left-wingers, WBP if they mostly are on the right.

  • I am from Québec and a sovereignist. I would like to see Canada getting reshape as a true confederation in an european union-like. I think that we could get along that way. We could still be good partners without resentments

  • We in Scotland know what you are up against! The English ("British") government knows little and cares less about our needs here (except when draining our resources).

  • Scottish Independence will only be viable as long as the resources remain. The intention of the British government to expropriate Scottish offshore oil. This is similar to the position of Alberta in Confederation. Scotland, however, has a long history of independence to which Scots should return to refresh their true identity. (Offered by a diasporic Scot...)

  • A M E N ! !

Canada is a dysfunctional country that will only be fixed by breaking apart.

My best to you, Mr. Christie.
