Volunteering is such an important part of my life. The one drawback in my community is the age requirements. My little 'sister' (through a mentoring program) as well as my students (I'm an elementary school teacher) love to hear stories of the ways I volunteer on the weekends. They would like to participate, but so many places don't have opportunities for 10 year olds to volunteer. I wish there was a way to find opportunities so kids can learn to enjoy volunteering as much as I do.
