get some binoculars in the summer. Cant see it this time in winter. Google some shit about the constellation Sagittarius and the Lagoon Nebula. When you see the constellation in the summer which looks like a teapot. With your binoculars look next to it and yuo should see a little fuzzy line of... fuzzyness. That is the nebula.

Well we're actually out in the suburbs of the Milky Way galaxy, so the reason we see the Milky Way is because we're out on one of the outer spiral arms and what we see as the Milky Way is the massive cluster of starts making up our galactic core. So we can get a good idea of our galaxy even from within by mapping it from our vantage point. Also we look at other spiral galaxies similar to ours.
More stars, space, a vast expanse of nothingness...no one can really tell you because no one has been outside of our universe. We can only see what our telescopes show us, but even then they might miss something. All we know, for right now, is that there are many more planets (probably un-inhabitable) and many many MANY more stars

There has been thoeries that the universe does end and if you were able to take a saceship and fly to the end you would just end back where you started, but these are just theories. I believe this is VY Canis Majoris. It is the largest known star in the Milky Way or in the known universe (but most likely because we lack the instruments so far to be able to detect bigger stars outside of our own galaxy). VY Canis Majoris is 7 million times bigger than our sun but it is nearly 3,000 degrees cooler. It is dying and will eventually go supernova. The nebulae it is surrounded by is created by the gasses being swept off it's surface by strong stellar winds.

In threads for religious videos, I'm not aware of any but the most infrequent negative responses to religious comments, unless the religious comment has something wrong with it (trolling, lies, the poster being a tool, etc.), separate from its religious nature, that would merit criticism regardless of the undertone of the comment.

I for one am a believer of GOD. I am a non denominational chrstian. What i believe in is up to me and nobody else. I believe that the same should go with anyone else. I believe that there is life after death for me and that is something to look foward to. But the one thing that matters (as Decimatyx said) is that we are all sentient and thus deserves to be treated accordingly. Chose science, be loved and cared for. Chose God, be loved and cared for. While you are here, live and love life.
On an infinite time scale...even events with the most remote odds such as the beginning of the Universe or the formation of viable DNA eventually happens sooner or later. There is no doubt that intelligent life ( some millions of years more advanced) exist in this Universe. However, this intelligent life has also arisen from chance and the big bang...just like us. Actually the Bible called dinosaurs "Beasts". You can find that in Genesis. BTW, the Bible didn't go into detail about each species that us humans wiped out. Evolution only appears valid if certain facts are ignored. Like the fact that skeletons of modern man were found to be millions of years old and lived right along side of all other species even Homo Habitis. Only if the facts are ignored can the theory of evolution work. Like the Bible put it, we were all put here at the same time. There definately is a God, a divine creator. Creation is obvious, look around you, everything has been created by either us or God who made man as an image of himself by the way. get some binoculars in the summer. Cant see it this time in winter. Google some shit about the constellation Sagittarius and the Lagoon Nebula. When you see the constellation in the summer which looks like a teapot. With your binoculars look next to it and yuo should see a little fuzzy line of... fuzzyness. That is the nebula.

Well we're actually out in the suburbs of the Milky Way galaxy, so the reason we see the Milky Way is because we're out on one of the outer spiral arms and what we see as the Milky Way is the massive cluster of starts making up our galactic core. So we can get a good idea of our galaxy even from within by mapping it from our vantage point. Also we look at other spiral galaxies similar to ours.

We can only see what our telescopes show us, but even then they might miss something. There has been thoeries that the universe does end and if you were able to take a saceship and fly to the end you would just end back where you started, but these are just theories. I was impressed about how large VV Cephei was when I first found out about it (I think that it is this star), but when I found out it was a binary star, I was fascinated. This is the second largest star (I might be wrong), and there are two are of them? There are probably stars out there that dwarf VY Canis Majoris.

I believe this is VY Canis Majoris. It is the largest known star in the Milky Way or in the known universe (but most likely because we lack the instruments so far to be able to detect bigger stars outside of our own galaxy). VY Canis Majoris is 7 million times bigger than our sun but it is nearly 3,000 degrees cooler. It is dying and will eventually go supernova. The nebulae it is surrounded by is created by the gasses being swept off it's surface by strong stellar winds.

Darth you gotta understand that the universe is too vast and complicated for you to think of yourself as the golden child of existence, even the very bible, if you follow, it tells you man has sinned,but maybe, the bible gives you the wrong idea of what u perceive god to be. Anyways, its pretty obvious that the universe wasnt created on accident, im pretty sure it has a creator or creators, but right now, we are no where even close to comprehending its creation/creator.

I like how all the religious remarks get negative strikes and the atheist ones get positive. It's like people are more comforted by the idea that they're anihilated when they die. I don't think it is religious remarks, per se, that are receiving criticism. It's probably because they are religious remarks in a thread for an astronomy video.
In threads for religious videos, I'm not aware of any but the most infrequent negative responses to religious comments, unless the religious comment has something wrong with it (trolling, lies, the poster being a tool, etc.), separate from its religious nature, that would merit criticism regardless of the undertone of the comment.

Then use words like 'ignorant' just to get a rise out of them? I like to read comments on videos like this to learn more about what I'm seeing, some intelligent feedback to more stimulate my mind with knowledge, not see endless accounts of your beliefs. I for one am a believer of GOD. I am a non denominational chrstian. What i believe in is up to me and nobody else. I believe that the same should go with anyone else. I believe that there is life after death for me and that is something to look foward to. But the one thing that matters (as Decimatyx said) is that we are all sentient and thus deserves to be treated accordingly. Chose science, be loved and cared for. Chose God, be loved and cared for. While you are here, live and love life.

On an infinite time scale...even events with the most remote odds such as the beginning of the Universe or the formation of viable DNA eventually happens sooner or later. There is no doubt that intelligent life ( some millions of years more advanced) exist in this Universe. However, this intelligent life has also arisen from chance and the big bang...just like us. Life on earth has no purpose...our existance and our planet life is just a momentary flicker in the life of the Universe. Enjoy IT!

Actually the Bible called dinosaurs "Beasts". You can find that in Genesis. BTW, the Bible didn't go into detail about each species that us humans wiped out. To say Einstein believed in god is a real stretch. Einstein was a deist who believed in a natural god (Spinozas God) not the god of the bible or koran. Belief in a personal god is childish and arcaic. Science has proven with few doubts that the universe began by accident, and continues to evolve by accident.

Evolution only appears valid if certain facts are ignored. Like the fact that skeletons of modern man were found to be millions of years old and lived right along side of all other species even Homo Habitis. Only if the facts are ignored can the theory of evolution work. Like the Bible put it, we were all put here at the same time. There is one intelectual difficulty that was never really given an enough response: how the force (or God) that created the Universe provoked itself? How could something be created by itself from nothing? What "nothing" could be like? Ha ha. Just teasing. Of course. Us trying to understand 'God' or even the creation of the universe is like an ant trying to understand the theory of relativity. The one thing we do know is that something is NEVER made from nothing. Therefore, the supposed Big Bang that sparked our universe HAD to have an origin and something or 'someone' to spark it. For every action there is a reaction and the biggest reaction known to man is our universe. Even Einstein believed in God.

There definately is a God, a divine creator. Creation is obvious, look around you, everything has been created by either us or God who made man as an image of himself by the way. But our minds are too shallow to fathom the infinate wisdom of his. Everything in this world is spiritually influenced, there is another world of communication around us. The milky way is very intriguing to me since the ancient Egyptians and Mayans both had spiritual connections to the Milky Way.

It will never be understood by ignorant people because even the wisest of us all can never fully comprehend the greatness of God. Nevertheless, the wise are deemed truly wise if they can accept the reality of God's presence and sovereignty.
