  • 3 people are bird lovers!

  • they should put automatic fire laser beam when an object like birds are too close to an air plane.

  • one day when they manage to crack nano technology we will have indestructable engines, many many times stronger than titanium.

  • Well you see the birds all get sticked on the mesh & don't getta sucked inna ingines. Butz the all the byrds onna meshes stops the airs from gettings inna ingines anna they stalled or stops spinning whicheva comes first & da plane she fly lika bricka!

  • guys this is something i never understood..why dont they put mesh screens over the fronts of the engines???

  • @thefsxandREALpilot-- I was thinking the same exact thing.

  • @thefsxandREALpilot

you lose air intake, which means power, so its not efficient.

  • NOWCHECK THIS OUT : MAKE A YOUTUBE SEARCH ONT HIS ::::::::::: Miracle on the Hudson - The Divine Mercy Story

  • appear faster than its possible...hm, ok, you're travelling how fast? How is it possible to see a flock and manuver your 700,000 pound plane to avoid them

  • 1:32 That's just cruel...

  • Mohammed Atta flew through the same airspace and he did'nt hit no birds.

  • Did he really smell burning bird or did he just think he should so he did? I doubt that the engine exhaust is entering the plane an at that speed the smell couldnt enter the cabin threw the body of the plane. Im not saying he didnt hit any birds im just saying "Could he have really smelt burning birds or is it a example of mind of matter?".

  • incedius420... yes, he could smell them. The air conditioning airflow comes from various sources (ram air, APU bleed, ground unit...) but I am positive - given the cold weather - it was switched to engine bleeds, providing nice cozy warmth... and a smell of roasting birds. :D

  • WTF??

  • @incedius420 The engines supply the air to the cabin airconditioning system so a bird going through the " hot section" of an engine would burn sending the burned bird smell to the air conditioner air supply

  • ojibaer - and who pray do tell is going to decide if the reasons will bring solutions? the government? stop smoking that stuff, its warped your mind.

  • Cactus 1539 Ahhh.. New York center do you have the freq. for a ILS approach to the Hudson.. LOL Im glad everyone is OK..

  • the captain said "i think i smell K.F.c original recipe" did they teach these so called bird how to fly in formation in alquida at 4,000 ft. or was it just a coincidence

  • heroy !!!!

  • I'm surprised those PETA losers haven't tried to ground all airplanes to prevent stress to the birds.

  • you have to think a turbine engine has to have sufficient air flow through the combustion chamber an turbine runs of a constant fire its not like your car engine the igniters are constant timing in a turbine they are there to light the fire and thats all it is self sustaining also the air keeps the flame off the wall of the turbine then you have cg limits and empty weight and fuel efficiency an airplane isn't toss your bags in and go there is alot to it and some things can't be avoided.

  • solutions:

    - the engineers can install hawks on each of the engines.

    - or a small automatic machine gun.

  • lol XD

  • Those poor birds, RIP!

  • Praise that Captain for eternity !

  • There are some people out there that think we should do away with all the birds so that no more people die. I thought the birds were here first.

  • damn birds lol!

  • why can't they just put up some strong wire around the engine encasement to keep larger objects from entering the engine ???

  • maybe the wire would get sucked in?

    Idk.

  • call for the final solution: slay all birds!

  • lmfao good call :P

  • 0:55 yeah nobody was hurt.... except for the bird

  • Hi guys

Go check out our video :)

    It's really new

like we uploaded it right now

We really want to know what you think about it.

    we want feedbacks.

    pleasee comment!! :)

  • mega big eagle?

  • "which runway do you want?" "we can't do it"

  • Coincidence? No. This type of stuff happens occasionally but it's only giving alert news coverage because of the one event.

  • why not just put a mesh screen in front of the engines so that anything that makes contact won't hit the engine blades?

  • The thrust is go great that it would just pull the mesh in or tear it apart.

  • are u sure? since it would be mesh, or a grate, air would be able to pass through the holes in it... not sure though

  • You have to think about the size of the front of the engine and the thickness of the mesh to be able to stop a 35 lbs bird from going in at 500 mph if it does make it it the mesh would go too if it doesn't then you have a bird blocking air flow ...trust me they have tried test of it in the 50's ..

  • Wow, like they tossed dead birds into the engines.
