@PineconeEater I caught a 27 inch Bass that was only 7lb.'s (all head). It was a warm pond that only had Mosquito Fish in it for forage, no Bluegill or Crappie or anything. It was Summer, but had it been early spring just before spawn, the fish could have been 3-5 lbs. heavier. I caught a Bass in March that was 3 inches shorter than that fish, but it weighed 9lbs., ll oz. True, Manabu Kurita's record tying Largemouth of 22lbs. 4oz., was only 27.2 inches long, but they can reach 36 inches.
