  • I really like the looks of the H3, although the windows seem a bit small, but I've never driven one to be sure. And I never would've guessed that it was under powered...maybe on the freeway, but I'm sure it's fine for off roading. The H3 is not made to be a rocket or a towing rig on the highway; its real element is on the trail.

  • I had a R/C Black Hummer H3 that went fast, a little too fast. once i was driving it upstairs. I couldn't stop it in time then it flew down the staircase. There was no damage so i drove it again. It flew down the staircase again and This time it was totaled. I still have the hummer and it works.

  • I don't like the H2's at all, though I'd sorta like the H2 SUT purely as an offroad vehicle, but I do like the H3's. A little more rugged looking, not as outrageously expensive and not nearly as fragile looking as the H2. I'd never buy it but I wouldn't mind driving one sometime.

  • COMPUTER101 you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Have you ever drove an h3, or actually taken one offroading and seen what this thing can do? I've taken my h3 out many times and it has done things that (even for a hummer) I have found unbelievable. I'm not dissing on Jeeps at all because I do like them, but you even mentioning the fact that jeeps are better than Hummers in terms of offroading is just downright obsurd. Go buy yourself a h3 then come back and tell me i'm wrong

    Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, do yourself a favor and just search for Rubicon on youtube... You will find that the unimproved road they take this h3 on is really nothing special after seeing what a real offroad vehicle can do.

    Who gives 2 shits about Jeep when your driving a Hummer. Ive taken my H3 off road, mudding, to the dunes on the beach, mountains, forests, fucking every where, and it performs fucking amazing especially in the mud and mid-high level water.

    From experience of having my 2006 Hummer in 2005 until now I can say that its the best luxury SUV that can handle the road and the mud.

  • The H3's a "loaded" Colorado, yes. The Rubicon's a Bantam BRC from 1941. It's virtually unchanged.

    So what's your point? Yeah, we're paying for a "Loaded" Colorado, you're paying for a 70-year old vehicle. You can get an '09 H3 for around $29,000-$30,000..around the same price as a Rubicon, if you don't start packing on luxury options..

    My point is, STFU, stop hating, go wheel.

  • The H3 is a POS. Jeep doesn't change much because it works. Who the fuck cares about luxury when you are off-roading?! Jeeps are purpose built. Carry people + gear through rough terrain and do it reliably and affordable. The Jeep has a huge background in offroading, what does the H3 offer? A Colorado that was supposed to replace the s10? Neither one of those have any offroad history.

    I don't hate the vehicle just the people that are trying to say its better than a Jeep.

    The fact of the matter is that the H3 is very capable. It proves itself time and time again and you get these people that do nothing but bitch about it. "Oh, it's expensive!" Same price as a Rubicon.."Oh, it gets bad gas mileage!" Better then a Rubicon.."It's slow!" Faster then a Rubicon. Comfortable, carries more people, farther. Seriously. If Jeep didn't see that they were failing in this portion

  • Bullshit. Spend $30,000 for a chevy colorado that can't go anywhere a stock Rubicon can. All for the sake of saying you have a Hummer, and its supposed to be luxurious and faster. Neither which of those characteristics are great for the Hummer, and they shouldn't even be mentioned when you are considering a serious Off Road machine. A H3 is fine for screwing around in the dirt here and there, but when it comes to doing serious off-road shit, nothing beats a Rubicon.

  • I'm sorry, that just isn't true. This has IFS, Leaf springs, and its thousands more than a Jeep Rubicon which is much more capable than a H3.

  • Rubicon has leaf springs too. Rubicon only gets 16/19 with it's V6, and accelerates slower then the H3's I5, at 11.1 seconds 0-60 to H3's 11.0 with the automatic 4-speed.

    As for IFS, the FJ Cruiser has IFS too, and you don't see that stopping it..Hell, the H1 has IFS AND IRS. So...

  • Who the hell cares about 0-60 times when you buy a 4x4?! When I say capable, I'm talking off-road capability. The Rubicon will be able to go places a Hummer will not be able to. IFS certainly has it's limitations. Solid axles are the only way to go if your serious about rock crawling. Hummer is a glorified suburban for crying out loud... I'll take a Rubi over a Hummer any day.

  • Who the hell cares? That's my question..but so many people make a big deal out of the 11-second 0-60 with the 5-cylinder, when the vehicle they dote on, the Rubicon, is even SLOWER.

    The H3 will go anywhere a stock Rubicon will. I dare you to prove otherwise. And it'll get you there more comfortably, and the fuel efficiency for a Rubicon is 15/19 to the H3's 14/18..so really, there's virtually no difference. Smack the next person bitching about H3's fuel economy.
