First off, you don't boot up "Mac" - thats the name of the computer that OS X (the actual name of the operating system) runs on. Secondly, no, it isn't "already a mac", it runs a completely different OS that was built specially for iPods. OS X is for laptops and desktops. Not portable MP3 (and other formats) players.

I know this video is real. You can actually do this. But other people who say they can, may be lying. This iPod has (I think I forgot what it's called, but) a Firmware port, where you can download exact files. But, unfortunately you can't actually use it (the iPod) to do anything with Mac OS X. It's just basically the desktop on the screen, and since the scroll wheel isn't really a mouse, you can't move the cursor or do anything. To me it's cool, but for practical purposes it has no good use.
