@jackbrady86 The order I always do is Air Man (no, I don't need the Leaf Shield to beat him), Crash Man, Flash Man, Quick Man, Metal Man, Bubble Man, Heat Man, and finally Wood Man. It's been effective for me.

Quickman's stage is actually very easy. The only real challenge I find is facing the Sniper Joes in those armors

I agree, once you get to know where the lasers are coming from, it makes his level a breeze. I also agree with the Sniper Joe part as well. The trick that I use is to get hit by their buster because it only takes up one of Mega Man's life meter.

Its not really that hard I do it first all the time. I admit that it is a little annoying but I think it is the easiest.

Air man is the easiest level, and the easiest boss., but Quick Man is the best level to start off for the Quick Boomerang, which is simply an amazing starting weapon. Besides, Quick leads to Metal which leads to Wood, an easy way to run through three levels in less than 10 minutes.

metal is the best to start out with. you get the best weapon in megaman history (other than X3's saber) and you can one shot loads of bosses and not run out of ammo for a long time. plus he's not too difficult

In european version there is only one mode (which is quite difficult). Actually it could be the same as japanese version, i don't know..

I love this game, and the other day I replayed exactly this stage (one of the hardest if you don't know how to avoid those killer beams) on the Mega Driver remake, but there Quickman is a lot stronger. xD It took me countless tries to beat him. :(

Yeah, I had a lot of trouble with him on both difficulties before. There's two thing I've noticed when fighting him.

1.) Fire one shot at a time. You've a better chance of hitting him than if you use turbo-fire.

2.) You have a major advantage compared to the rematch in Skull Castle due to the uneven floor. Use it to your advantage.

You'll need to use the Plasma Cannon for part of your battle with Quick Man anyways. I actually fight Quick Man second the first few times I played the game. BTW, I always try to pass the part with the laser beams the same way jernqvist did (no use of Time Stopper) in 1:03-1:29.

You guys may not know, but this level was re-used in Mega Man X5, as part of the 1st of the Final Stages. It has even the beams and the level design is similar, if not the same.

i usually saved Quick Man as one of the last ones (only Heat Man came later the order i usually play the bosses in,) but i just went thru Quick Man's stage in 2:17.34 on Normal. (This is from the title screen, skipping past the intro and ending when Mega Man warps offscreen after destroying Quick Man.) Difficult, on the other hand, took 2:35.59. (It could've taken a little longer, but in Difficult i stayed to the left to leave some screens with the death rays quicker.)

I have no idea why the video glithches near the end. It just got that the way when I compressed into divX. I did not use freeze states or whatever to beat quickman. I did video in about 3 attempts, just to proove to a friend that it wasn't all that hard to beat quickman without the use of flashman's time stopper. And no the video is not manufactured. Even though I used a emulator that supports rerecording(fceu) I didn't use this feature.
