  • Back in '08 a tornado touched down in the Kettering, OH area ... I was scared.. because I live in Kettering.

  • I live in Waverly and 2 yrs ago a tornado touched down about 5 miles to the northeast. It was a little tornado (like most are) and it blew in a garage door or something.

At the time I worked at night, and got up around 8pm to the sound of...sirens? I looked outside my window to see the anvil of this monster thunderstorm coming and I thought to myself "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?!?" The storm passed over but the wind was bad and the rain flooded out the local KCF lol! I was late for work an hour!

  • WAIT A MINUTE, MAY 8 IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

  • Do u know how bad it rained in michigan after that tornado that was soooo boges T.V.'s went out because the rain was pouring.

  • yeah, i live close to where it happened, it was the most pathetic tornedo eva.

  • Yea but the thing was it that the conditions for having a Tornado was very unlikely at the time. A NOAA meteorologist who was working when this happned said they didn't see anything on radar or conditions for a Tornado. The only reason they issued the Tornado Warning was because someone spotted it.

  • @foofer2014 Yeah, I agree I lived in Preble County at the time but now I live in Montgomery , I don't even remember that ...

  • hey i live in Greene County...we had warnings of this event. over the news.. i got sooooooooooooooooooooo scared....lol.

  • a twister hit on my birthday 5-8-08

  • Not to lucky I see!

  • haha you just have to love the weather here it will go from sunny 90 degrees to 60 and ripping your house down

  • i posted a video of this tornado when it was on the ground, check it out.

  • I watched your vids. Never saw where it touched the ground. :(

  • *sigh* it wasn't a very well defined tornado, it has made the most solid touch on the 3rd video. it is the cylinderical shaped cloud touching the ground in the middle of the screen. tornadoes aren't always classic funnels, this one was not classic but i ould here it and i drove over to where it was seen and noted some tree and roof damage. plus i sent the video to a meteoroligest and he confirmed it to be a tornado and wall cloud.

  • I was on the 9th floor of my dorm at OSU, waking up from a wicked hangover when I heard the sirens. We had tornadoes here too. Glad you guys were okay.

  • Shoot, never mind, that was 3 days later. LOL forget that

  • Oh that's scary - from northcentral Ohio, originally - where most people had a basement - now in northcentral Texas, where nary a basement can be found - the tornado sirens have their own built in chill factor, don't they? Awesome capture - adding to faves - thanks -

    *StormSpinner* in Texas

  • Dude, we ended up in the basemrnt on this one too. lol. It crossed into Clark county, but then lifted up before it got to us. Glad ya'll were okay. Great footage.

  • Thats crazy!! I saw a tornado in L.B.I New Jersey. It touched down like three miles from the waterpark i was at with my gf. It then moved across the water for like half a mile then was done. It was pretty coo but also a little frightening at the same time.

  • Funnelcloud

  • Yes you are right, the video shows the funnel cloud but a few minutes prior it was a Tornado that was confirmed by the National Weather Service.

  • love the thunderbolt sound
