I love reading comments that talk about songs bringing back memories, but for a lot of people that is the case, but for me I'm just making the memories, and in 10/20 years time when I hear this, then it'll "take me back" and it just makes me smile that a song can just grace over the generations like this one does :)
90's was the greatest era of music... grunge... prog metal... to think that one-hit-wonders in the 90's that were written off as throwaways, are actually this good... compared to today's music, just wow
Come listen to this single and more from the 70's, 80's - and now the 90's for the summer - on an Internet radio station you can listen to for free: "OffTheCharts!"
Go to Live365.com and type "Off The Charts" in the Search box. Click on the station logo and the station should begin streaming. There's also a direct link on my YouTube page.
Man I miss the bands like the "Belly's" that played their own instraments, knew how to sing and write songs. Melodies, in time bass lines, guitar progressions, and timely drum beats. Today? Mily lol, or the Jonas Bros...lol poor younger gen has to endure these hacks who have no musical talent. Not to mention Rap which is musically the equal to what porn is too motion pictures. I mean if all you knew was rap and never knew artists actually studied and mastered music u would be left with J Shore.
Great that you have the original video (official video not viewable in the UK) but why not get some video software, crop it left and right and dub the original song over it? Just a suggestion!
@lucidprogrockdreams That's not the way they made it. Youtube used to have a better quality video but it was removed. This looks like it was recorded off a TV.
I love Belly as well, but I think swca92 is joking. He or she has to be, right? I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming it was a joke and not simple absurdity.
I was making a general comment, I prefer this to Monster or New Adventures in Hi-Fi, though not to R.E.M's earlier albums when they were at their best. About Kristin her voice is growing on me, though it still annoys me sometimes.
Damn this band is good...I've realised how Kristen's voice puts me off the Throwing Muses, cos Belly's stuff is the best American stuff of the mid 90's, better than R.E.M or whatever
Yeah, it's about that. In an interview, I heard Tanya Donelly explaining that the expression 'feeding the tree' meant something a little more civilized than 'pushing up the daisys.'
Sorry, but the video quality S.U.C.K.S. I will not apologize for pointing that out. I have the song in my iPod ... my point is, it's almost better not to post a video than to post such a low-quality video.

THIS VIDEO QUALITY FUCKING SUCKS!!! I was so amped to see this listing because Iove this video and this song, but I'd rather not watch it all than to have to deal with this crappy ass camcorder job.
You can get this on a various artists DVD put out by Rhino. Don't ask me the name of it - I have it but I'd have to look for it in my collection, which is currently a mess.
Is this the same song (minus the vocals) that is played on TNT during the NBA playoffs for the Cadillac Escalade? It sure sounds like it and I have been trying to track that song down. Anyone...????

Loved 'Star' - one of my favourite albums of the 90s.
Been listening to an album by 'The Joy Formidable' and it reminds me so much of Belly. So hard to find good music nowadays, must be gettin' old :D
