@Nicolev53186 It was more of a lack of equipmentrather then hiding from something. All I had was my video editing software and a chip on my shoulder. The basics of the video (V for Vendetta mask, the name anonymous, the type and speak) I barrowed from the anti-scientologist movement that had been going on at the time I made this video. Trust me I am not afraid to call the woman a liar to her face, but I do think this method got me more views then if I was to just rant into a web cam or something

UMM no real facts? Every quote in the video was what she had said. When she told the Hornbecks that there son was dead it was a direct quote. Then when he was found alive years latter it was a fact. Cold reading isn't intrinsically a social engineering tactic. It was originally a mentalist technique, but it is also used by magicians; all before the term "Social Engineering" was a generally accepted term.

The basics of the video (V for Vendetta mask, the name anonymous, the type and speak) I barrowed from the anti-scientologist movement that had been going on at the time I made this video. alot of people already know about cold reading and all this stuff, but the problem that makes frauds like this able to take money from the gullible masses is that it is in human nature that whenever we see some connection, however strained or small it may be, between what somebody says will happen and what happens, even if the vast majority of claims made are completely untrue, that one connection will make it seem as if the fraud has some special power.

Watch her when she said Hornbeck was dead. She didnt say maybe or I kind of have a feeling. She said it as if she KNOWS the answer and was wrong. Lol. Sure can I prove she is lying and not mistaken? No, but under what you are saying we could never convict someone in court because we cannot take their inconsistencies and use them against them. Truth is under what you are saying anyone can lie about anything and they get a pass because we are not them and can not prove their intent. So I go with logic and take the fact that she is profiting off of peoples grief wile claiming to have a power she refuses to have tested and call her a liar.

How come none of these psychics ever took Randis million? Even Criss Angle offered a million too that no one was able to claim. Guess REAL psychics arent interested in money or even giving it to charity. Guess it is just easier to charge the general public for your products and services then to prove it a scientific test. There really is a sucker born everyday. I suppose that is why selling BS is such a profitable business.

UMM no real facts? Every quote in the video was what she had said. When she told the Hornbecks that there son was dead it was a direct quote. Then when he was found alive years latter it was a fact. So how is that not proof she is a liar? Same with the minors and same with the little girl Opal. I am very confused here where you say I lack proof. I say she is a liar and show you times when in fact she was lying. What would you consider REAL evidence that a person like Browne is lying?

I do believe they all are frauds. Ok not all are frauds, but instead just plain old delusional. I dont see any positive in lying to people that are in a grief state of mind who are begging for help. From what I can tell this is exactly what she does and will not allow herself to be tested in a double blind test. What she puts forward as evidence is claims of solving hundreds of murder cases for police. Of course there is zero documentation of this because she is lying about that as well.

You could argue she helps people feel better even if shes lying about speaking to their dead loved ones. After all it does get a positive reaction from grieving believers. But I like to quote Penn here: You dont fix a broken hart by pretending its not broken. So I think it is BS for anyone to lie about such things and see nothing positive in it. It's a great video. I like cusswords but would be more likely to show a video like this to my kids if it didn't have swearing (as appropriate as the word "bullshit" is in Sylvia's case). Will you consider editing a 6th-grade-friendly version to support teaching our next generation what a BS artist looks like. Great job. :)

Thank you. I would re-edit it, but I no longer have the original files. So the best I could do is maybe drop in some bleeps and put it up as the clean version. Cold reading isn't intrinsically a social engineering tactic. It was originally a mentalist technique, but it is also used by magicians; all before the term "Social Engineering" was a generally accepted term.
Saying that, though - it does fit the description, but it doesn't originate from the 2600-days or from the sociological context.
But, the rest of this is actually a job well done. Sylvia is a charlatan.

Thank you so much! Seriously it is an honor to hear someone call my video the best they have seen. I hear what you are saying about Montel, but I cant help but to look at the way he jumps in when she is wrong. To me it seems he is doing what he can to bail her out of a bad situation. Plus he never calls her out on the stuff that is way off. He just jumps in and tries to make the connection for Sylvia. Looks like teamwork to me. But I admit I have no other evidence to prove they work as a team.

According to her website she now charges $850 per (20-30 minute) phone reading. So I am not sure if this means she now claims to be more psychic and correct or simply her greed grows hungrier and hungrier as the years go by. Oh wait! I know the answernow eat up you greedy heartless bitch!

No! I am implying she uses a tactic called cold reading mixed with old fashion guessing. Sure occasionally she might be right, or close enough for the person she is giving the reading to accept it as, what she must have been saying. Truth is she has no paranormal powers and people like Criss Angle, Penn Jillette, and Michael Shermer can be just as accurate as her by simply using the same tactics she uses too fool people. She is a con artist liar and always has been. Clear enough for you now?
