I think in stead of the option to upload to "youtube" is to save it than you get an avi file (which you can upload to youtube) or you can convert to mp4 or any format you want with the right software.

Create a video not an EXE or better still use the "upload to Youtube" output if you have Proshow 3.5 or later.

Looks like a good program for people who are just starting, but it seems a little *too* basic. It would be a much better program if it had a timeline setting as well as the storyboard and commands such as split.

True, video editing isn't Proshow gold's main function, but a handy added extra. So if you want to add a little video to your proshow slideshows then this is how it's done.

Thanks for the tutorial. I now know I don't want to buy Proshow Gold. The video editing procedure is to basic and labor intensive. Can't you just cut clips or slides and remove the inbetween parts? If not I will keep using Adobe Premiere Elements. Cheers, Myrl7

If you want to make a AV or slide show with a little video content Proshow is the ideal tool. BUT if you want to edit a movie and add a few still images then premiere is the way to go. I'm glad the video helped you decide which tool is best for your needs.

I made a .exe for me and my friends to watch, but I lost the editing file to make it an .avi or movie file. I have the ".exe" file is there someway to make it the format I want it?

You can't open an EXE in proshow gold, so you have two choices.

1: Remake the show

2: Use screen capture software (e.g. Camtasia) to "video" the EXE as it plays
