  • why these black's in between. distractive

  • I'm in love with Nolans brain

  • @MegaMaverick1994 maybe you should break in and steal it.

  • 1:02 Badass gun slinging

  • i thought the whole movie was filmed on chroma and shit like this, but not , that room is actually spinning . cool effects though.

  • why is that man wearing a dentist mask ? is he cold or something and is aware of leonardo health or what. min 1:23

  • apsolutly amazing!

  • These 13 people are certainly goddamn burtonites..

  • I used to steal ideas in dreams but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • I used to be an atheist but now I worship Christopher Nolan !!!

  • @Mohan853 - haha, we should all worship him! he's like a God in his own universe! In Nolan We Trust! He Turns Michael Bay To Dust!!

  • haha Leonardo havin fun with le gun xD

  • Inception is a great movie.Better than those shitty remakes and reboots

  • Oh please! Inception had an interesting premise and very cool FX but is faaar from one of the best films in the last...I don't know, decades. Very very overrated film, talk about hype and hipsters!

  • @fonyric, I absolutely hate the word 'overrated', for one simple reason: Just because you personally don't like it, doesn't mean everyone who does is a retard and overrates the film. Why does a film have to be the best, just to be good?

  • @NielsSimenon ok, I'll replace the word for "too praised" ;P

It's not that I don't like it, it's good, the concept overall is very good (except the all 4 layers of dreams within each other, no need to make it that complicated so you can claim it's very deep). What I dislike is the "omg the best movie ever" etc. hype, though I guess I shouldn't pay attention to teens in general. They haven't lived enough to see really good stuff or haven't seen the classics for lack of interest...

  • @fonyric, Very true. Although the 'dream within a dream' is basically the whole concept of the movie, and I think four layers is just right.

Very good movie? Yes. Classic? No. If you consider this one of the best movies ever made, then you watch it over and over in pleasure and don't rage about it.

  • @NielsSimenon Alright. Don't think I was really raging but nevermind. I usually dislike the fanatism surrounding certain things nowadays such as teen movies like Twilight or tech stuff like Apple... Can't understand that level of fondness, that's all. Seems like a blind fate or an obsessive attraction, I don't know. Anyway, very off topic.

  • @fonyric, I wasn't referring to you but to the people you are mentioning as well. At the moment, I am very fond of the Google services and I use a lot of them, but I shut up about it and just use it. As soon as someone comes with a better alternative, I'll use that. I don't go around screaming "YAAAY GOOGLE BEST EVER FYFYFYFY" and I think people should learn not to do that with movies either.

  • @NielsSimenon Yes, not only movies. In general, just respect other people's choices, opinions, tastes. I suppose it's a matter of the ego.

  • how did no one die making this movie. that rotating room shit is crazy.

  • There was an old black and white movie that had a rotating room, right? We watched it my dance class once but I don't remember the name. The guy was tapdancing and the room just started rotating to show off his tapping ability. That's where Nolan got the idea from or something, right? I wish I could remember the name...

  • THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!! SO AMAZING.....

  • fuck, they actually had rotating rooms?

brilliant. screw CGI, organic effects are the best :)

  • I have the triple play Blu-Ray and DVD version, where the fuck is this? Seriously, is it even on my version? If not I will be incredibly pissed off.

  • this is soo funny!

  • Ooh, I just discovered your channel. Love all your behind the scenes vids. Keep'em coming! :)

  • he seems like such a nice director. I wish I had him in highschool instead of who I did have lol.... I had a smart director for our plays but he was mean as holy fuck

  • 12 people are in limbo.

  • Amazing to see it from this point of view,

    Chris Nolan the best !

  • Mal is so beautiful and Leo and like... frickin sexy. <3

  • watch?v=KRfc7NYyuWU

inception is the reason I got a date to prom...

  • omg they actually build the beach scene with the destroyed buildings? NOLAN ROCKS cant wait for Dark night rises

  • oh my god i think that i am still in the dream.

WHAT A FANFISTIC MOVIE IT was?

  • The Making of Cinemaphobia Part 1

    youtube.com/watch?v=9urjbVDX_50&feature=related

  • y sudden stop always

  • I accidentally blurted out: "the dream is collapsing" when there was an earthquake in my place.

  • ARTHUR IS THE SEXIEST MOFO OUT THERE

    WITH HIS BADASS TOTEM

    THAT RED ASS DICE

AND HIS SLICK ASS HAIR AND AMAZINGLY FIERCE FASHION VEST 3:02

LOOK AT HIM LIFT THAT FRESHLY STARCHED ASS IRONED LEG 5:30

    HE'S LIKE

"WHILE YOU SPIN YOUR LITTLE TOP AND DREAM ABOUT KNOCKING MAL'S BOOTS, LEMME SHOW YOU HOW I KEEP THE BITCHES OFF ME, COBB"

    ARTHUR IS A BOSS.

  • it is a well taken movie

  • Ah, yes. What they don't show you when you view 'behind the scenes' segments: The astonishing amount of time spent standing around. Actors, film crew, extras... Everyone gets to spend plenty of time Just Waiting. :)

  • Closely listen to an Inception dvd made before the January 8th Tucson shooting, especially during the dialogue, "Do It."

  • Scorsese is making films for accolades. I'm really glad that Nolan doesn't give a shit about that and just doing films that he likes. You have to love what you do and not do things for proving that you're a good director. Nolan is an amazing director and I love his versitality towards filmmaking. Starting with Indies to Blockbusters back to Indies again and not losing artistry in that process is really impressive.

  • @butt01 I couldn't agree more; he's a true artist.

  • hey its that dude from the Titanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where is this clip from? I haven't seen it before.

  • I really love the way Nolan is making movies!

  • 11 people discovered inception is not real and got dissapointed

  • lmao. "3,2,1.. ACTION!"

*2 actors slide down snow with flailing arms*

  • @chocobosROK (looking at the script) hmmm, i think i'll take that part! haha

  • I love love love how you didnt have audio when they are saying lines so it cant be taken down on copyright. very smart!

  • 0:36 Wow, who's that hot stuntman with Leo?

What, he's not Leo's stuntman? BUT THEY'RE SO ALIKE, FUCK!

  • so much better than Avatar. And they give James Cameron a nom.

  • @NGCcoasters don't compare the two! they're so much different form each other!

  • Does Nolan normally wear a suit on-set? Cause that's classy.

  • @EGRJ Suits = Classy.

    Christopher Nolan, Barney Stinson

  • @EGRJ, he pretty much wears the same thing all the time. Kind of like Lynch and Kubrick.

  • THATS A EPIC HOUSE!

  • Christopher Nolan only wears suits....

  • in my opinion christopher nolan is the best director ever

  • @kabool2

    I agree completely.

  • 2 oscar nominees,,, you got to be kidding me !

  • 5:30 Joe's got a nice butt ;) lol

  • You are filming about filming about filming about filming

  • 4:49... and there is all the magic :O

  • 4:46 the bit everyone came to see

  • It's also "pretty safe to say" all of these comments about the "revolving" hallway are driving students of astronomy nuts. The hallway is rotating on its rotation axis. It's not "revolving" around anything. Well... OK... it's revolving around the Sun. ;-)

  • fantastic soundtrack!!!

  • only slightly better than army of darkness special fx!

  • been wanting to see how they film the revolving hallway.

    4.48 onwards.

  • Just stfu and make batman 3

  • i envy truly every single person on that set...... what an amazing experience it must have been....

  • Frightningly professional.

  • wow it's so weird to see some of these scenes without the badasssssss music playing!

  • How did they do the buildings folding over onto eachother? Was that just CGI?

  • I just LOVE that Nolan doesnt overuse CGI and shit - he does things for real - movie magic by the book !

  • @trexation ok lol. so anyone who uses cgi doesn't create movie magic? seriously people gotta calm down. what spielberg did in ET is movie magic. and what scorsese does ever film is just pure incredible filmmaking.

  • @malows1234 Nonono... overuse... Inception has some solid CGI in it, but he doesnt overuse it. James Cameron did his ejaucaltion of CGI with avatar ... these are the movies i dont really like.

  • @trexation ya watever all blockbusters are basically a waste of time, because at the end of the day they are hardly art, there are more like entertainment. and chris nolan should not be wastting his time some kiddy batman movies and some movie about dreams and shit. he should making more movies like memnto and prestige. but watevah. i geuss money can make any man sell out. it is just sad to see nolan become a sellout. all that talent wasted.

  • @malows1234 I'm sure there will be more Nolan Originals - the dark knight rises (right title? xD) is supposed to be the last batman movie... i havent seen dark knight completely, but i think that just a random action movie. films like inception are the rare seeds we need to fertilize

  • @trexation well watever i dont like that he is selling out to blockbusters like cameron. he needs to learn money is not the most important thing. Scorsese the greatest living director never made blockbusters.

  • @trexation the art direction itself is also very good tho, dont forget

  • No comment ...oh just one BEAUTIFUL : )

  • Thumbs up if you think this movie had the best soundtrack of the year.

  • @NickyDaMan heck to the yes

  • @NickyDaMan Maybe the best soundtrack of the decade.

  • @NickyDaMan

Best soundtrack of the year? are you joking? That's one of the best soundtracks ever...

  • @Greenrayx5 Of course it is :) and it's even by a german composer^^

  • @NickyDaMan well there had to be something good about it.

  • @NickyDaMan MOREOVER... The best soundtrack EVER! With LEO's extraordinary PERFORMANCE!

  • @NickyDaMan No. Ever.

  • @NickyDaMan this, closely followed by Kick-Ass :)

  • @NickyDaMan I BOUGHT IT!

  • i for one didnt watch this video for the rotating hallway scene. I watched it to masturbate to Chris Nolan in action :)

  • oh my freaking god. i think joseph gordon levitt got pretty beat up, just training to film that scene in the revolving thingy.

  • Christopher Nolan is One of the best Director's of ALL TIME... No Doubt About It!!... Thumbs Up If You're With Me!!!...

  • How'd they do the people floating who were tied together? That one's bugging the heck out of me.

  • @LinkinFreakPixar me too! Fuck the spinning hallway

  • The hallway is nothing compared to the revolving space station in 2001 and that was 42 years ago.

  • AWESOME! Holy crap...

  • Mal is fugly

  • @dotShinoda she is beauty, what are you talking about?

  • @kimmyboley yeah,she is beautiful

  • the snow scenes were prob annoying 2 film

  • now i realise how much money and time goes into making a movie like this!!

  • is the camera rotating to when the hallway is rotating?

  • @APSkou yes, the camera stays faced only from the floor of the hallway, to make them look like there all over the walls

  • 2:25 I couldnt help watching that over and over

  • @g2dashizal oh my god!!!

    ME TOOO!!!

  • is it true no special effects where used to make this movie?

  • @chuggyman69 well there is one part in the street scene in paris i think is special effects.

  • @chuggyman69 Most of it was done with practical effects but some were "enhanced" with cg effects like the explosion in the cafe scene near the beginning but I would say 80% was done with practical effects; some on full scales and some on miniature scales.

  • no, i think it just looks like they don't speak because there is no sound at all in this one scene, did u recognize that?

  • Hm, The only move their mouths. I wonder if all the dialogues were studio recorded.

  • Now that I know I can see behind the scenes stuff on youtube, I feel bad that I decided not to get this movie until dvd special edition came out.

  • I love how Nolan is always wearing a suit. No matter the occasion.

  • Did the guy has the swine flu at 1:20?

  • i didnt realize that leonardo was so skinny

  • @strangereveryday

i think it's his large head that makes many think otherwise

  • inception is the most overated spew since the hurt locker, good that its about dreams cause unless your a critc looking for your marketing kick back, plan on a nap or 2 b4 its over. ive seen folding cities before, in Dark City

  • 1.01 awsome gun spin!

  • lol its unbealivable that the use so many real places and mechanical stuff i thougth it was cgi in the most part

  • @dmgab that what i love about nilan

  • @xradio86 Cant love him that much if you cant spell his name haha ;)

  • @moyce789 i know I mixed his name with a hockey player chris nilan

  • Comment removed

  • That's some really amazing footage, i love to see actors at work. Thanks for sharing!

  • Who are the four fucks who disliked this?!?

  • This movie didn't make a whole lot of sense to me but it was fun.

  • learnado di caprio is so handsome!!

  • So thats how they shot the rotating room! i was wondering how the special effect can do this..but they actually build a revolving room!! it's just brilliant!!!!

  • I just realized that both Leo and JGL have played male prostitutes in the past. Leo in Basketball Diaries and JGL in Mysterious Skin.

  • *Super Spoiler* the spinning top is NOT HIS totem...took a couple viewings to catch it...but look for something else and the movie'll blow your mind...again!!!!!

  • @dseth2k wasn't that obvious. Cobb actually says it was his wife's in the movie.

  • @867stevo ...yes he does, but...that means something else is actually his totem...so...do you know what it is?

  • @dseth2k yeh his wedding ring, because he only wears it when he is in the dream world.

  • @dseth2k I've heard this theory a lot, but there's no real evidence for it. People say the ring must be the totem, but totems are only useful if you know what they are and use them. We never see him do anything with his ring, we constantly see him use the top to see if he's dreaming, even when no one else is around, so it's not like he's trying to fool people into thinking it's his totem. As for it having been Mal's totem, she's dead, so only Cobb knows the tops properties now.

  • watched this movie about 10 times.....!

  • leonardo di caprio has the same birthday as mine 11 november

  • Timeless

  • @JesseReith1 you better believe cause I did.. Watched it with my parents = 1

    Watched it alone = 2

    Watched it with 1st sister = 3

    Watched it with 2nd sister = 4..

    Believe it now?

  • Best movie.. Watched it 4 times on a day..

  • i watches inception 2 times (: I LOVE THIS MOVIE! :D

  • @Zachzan134 I watched it 4 times in cinemas, and 8 times in my house. I memorized the dialoges of so much views O_O

  • Does anyone know something about lucid dreaming?

Thats what this Movie is about.

  • the guy at 2:02 has a big black square where his head should be lol

  • I love how Chris Nolan always dresses so professionally on the set. If you look at some directors, you will see that they sometimes dress in t-shirts. But not Nolan. He and Scorsese are my favorite film makers

  • Nolan planted an idea in me. I may need find a todem. Fuck !

  • wow...thats a LOT less CG than i thaught they did! Kudos to chris Nolan to keeping it all practical effects.

  • @spacemountaineer91 I am continually amazed at how little CG Nolan used for Inception. When I saw the rotating corridor I immediately thought "Ok, they're just on a green screen", but lo and behold they were in a fucking massive rotating corridor.

  • anyone know what type of lighting equipment that is? used in the first scene(with Marion Cotillard)?

  • If the movie does without soundtrack......it will be boring

  • The gravity shifting fight was amazing. I haven't been that visually delighted in a long time. Inception is one of those films that knows how to use effects.

  • its an awsome movie leo is THE BEST as usual, a great IDEA

  • they should make a rotating halway for like a fair or sumthing

  • quite amazing how nolan is in a suit whenever he is on set...class

  • @reshbeez its just a blazer , u can see hes wearing jeans and a button down shirt in alot of the shots , but i see ur point

  • It pretty safe to say everyone watched this video to see the revolving hallway part lol

  • @mrpink188 VERY SAFE.

  • @mrpink188 hahaha!!!! damn.....your good
