Thanks for posting this. I went to Oliver's Mount for the first time in April 2011 to see my mate compete in the hill climb on his Velocette. I was pretty impressed.
Lol great - i went to the uni just down the road from this track, its were i learnt to drive 'properly' spent most of 3 years up there racing round in my car - was always best when it was covered in snow! The hairpin at the bottom of the hill (not the one after that start grid) well i almost ended up in that field one year, over cooked just a little lol - ahhh them were the days.
The first time I went to Olivers Mount I thought at first It was the road to the carpark till someone said " thats the track mate" very scary place! but over the years I have seen some fantastic racing and some brilliant riders, perhaps the best was the 95 gold Cup with Sheenie on the Rgv and Mick Grant on the green Meenie with Ago on his MV and the Team Obsolete MVs! well worth a visit
Does anyone have any footage of when Barry Sheene raced there last in the 1984 Gold Cup? The BBC were doing an anti TT program at the same time and came to the meeting to interview Barry and others on their views. Does anyone remember that program or have a copy of it as it also had footage of some of the races and practice
olivers mount rocks. this is where i met barry sheene at scarborough gold cup in 95 i think it was. agostini, redman, grant, foggy, and loads more world famous racers were there. i'll never forget it cos barry signed my arai jacket...r.i.p barry...greatly missed.
Great stuff! I rode this track last year on my RG500 at the Sheene memorial and it scared me to death, great to ride with Mick Grant and Steve Parrish my boyhood idols.

Cool, but what a stupid "track"...it's almost idiotic to race on that.

It's been going for years, it'd be stupid to take it off the calendar :) Such a good track.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing! I raced here in 1987 (in the same race as Carl Fogarty) mega scary place.

Wow. Really cool.
No offense but that looks like a service road someone put a few rumble strips on!!! :]
Our local track out here may be wider but it's pretty scetchy too! haha.
