The samples are on default gravity which is very low.

All he needs to do is adjust the gravity to, say, 200.0f or even just 90.0f to get a sort of realistic falling.

Frogs and Wheels are soft body meshes, they aren't adjusted fully to be like ragdolls. Just think of it this way: A think piece of rubber filled with air.

nvidia bought physx, and the recent nvidia cards have a ppu unit too.

for example the 9800 gtx+ incorporates a ppu developed by ageia utilizing physx

Not true, NVIDIA rewrote the PhysX API to work with CUDA, they have no hardware present made by AGEIA, and some older games still require a PPU, not a GPU for PhysX physics. what you stated is wrong.

Your actually both right. While Nvidia may have tweeked to code to work with CUDA, Nvidia DID buy the company out for the sole purpose of being able to use PhysX.

And just because AGEIA develops something doesn't meant they actually made it. They just made the blueprint for the technology.

AGEIA was a brilliant company, they just didnt have the money to back up the work that they were doing. To be honest, its a real shame.

Ragdoll happens at the skeleton level and is propagated through the chain up to the meshes via skin transformation. This isnt rag doll (to answer your question) but instead realtime physical mesh deformation

this is the most amazing video i seen about the PhysX. all the other stuff (fluids,cloth) didnt impress me, cause other games can do that with CPU+GPU.

on the other hand i strongly believe, that a single PhysX card cant even calculate one of these frogs in real time.

Excuse me, but blender has a wonderfull real time render, the Blender Game Engine. It uses bullet physihcs, and it's free and opensource.
