For everyone talking about the double bass: There is this really fancy thing called a trigger. A trigger, triggers the bass pedals to move a certain speed. They happen to have it set extremely fast

The only way it helps you play faster is it's easier to play bass drum faster for a longer time when you're playing quieter than it is when you're playing loud.
