  • what kind of music is heard in Korea? is everything popular like in America? from every kind of metal like thrash metal, to hardcore, and grunge, and r&b and all that? you know, everything. If so can you give me some band names? thank you.

  • @chinguidinsky Its all about Pop and Hip Hop and the only Korean Rock bands in the industry are Poppish and not "true" rock. Most Rock/Metal is not in the media. Some good bands include Vassline(Post Hardcore), Crash (Thrash Metal), and Boohwal (Sort of like the Korean Guns N' Roses in a way). Look up Norajo. They have guitar in their songs, but it's mostly poppy which is not bad, but I like to listen to one genre and not two in one like Crunkcore (BrokenCYDE)

  • JIMI HENDRIX !! voodoo chile

  • kool sounds good.....need to hear more.

  • the guitar solo sounded like a bit of pearl jam =)

  • not just SOME band...lol...The Man,,,Yoon Do Hyun!!! (my brother from another mother!) HIm asian, me cauc- asian, all good,...seen em play live in Poon Dang

Hes great and so is his guitar man and other bandmates. ROCK Korea!

  • um i can agree with the rolling stone part but not really that close to red hot chilli pepper i dont really kno where you got that from

  • @SecretAsianMan80593 I think he meant the drummer has RHCP's style, guitarist has Jimmie Hendric lick inserted in there too

  • @fightertrainer nah Chad Smith from the chili peppers hits HARDER

still a fuckin groovy song tho =D

  • @danielkkwon Maybe, maybe not harder. Chad has very high action of his arms and sticks. From audience's perspective he even "looks" loud. Louness is from the wrists as well. Chad also hold sticks long for power. I hold sticks long too, it's just groovy when you do that. Look at Simon Philip, Dennis Chambers, Tony Royster Jr...They all hoild sticks long agaisnt the jazz traditionalist's idea of holding it short for speed and balance. But everytime I hold it long my band mates think Im better LOL.

  • lol is this supposed to be rock its more like jazz and its not that great im korean and i find this kinda embarrassing ive been trying to find GOOD korean rock so if u kno of any plz tell

  • what the fuck do u expect from korea they're all about retarded "idol" groups.. media never makes rock band appeal to the public. its a pity -_ - good band never get to make it.

  • so booring it doesnt look like a rock

hey guys yo better search for slapshock its

    very cool\1

  • n also slapshock aint that great try listening to dillinger escape plan, nin, nile, tool etc.

  • omg i swear YB looks like he can be Mickys dad from TVXQ

  • so corny xet !!!!this video slapshock is better than this !!damn korean rock band they have no style in how to rock the world!!!!

  • sweet. i like it.

  • great guys..!!

    proud of you<<3

  • this band sounds like the rolling stones mix with the red hot chillie pepers

  • and give it a nice sprinkle of rage against the machines..and your all set

  • wow thats amazeing!!

  • Oh my god...Cigarette girl in English! XD

  • The band came to Texas for SXSW( south by southwest)and we know the sponser for them and it was his idea to have them practice at our house. They just don't go to peoples houses....you need connections.

  • The first song is Cigarette Girl and the second is Dreamer. YB( aka Yoon Band) played @ my house in Texas in March and they were awesome.

  • it's possible to invite them to perform @home? waw

  • wat's this song called?

  • lol bass player kinda reminds me of asian version of mcjagger.

  • oh too cute! ^_^ lovin it.

  • too bad he doesn't speak english well...

    love it though

  • 내가 좋아하는 노래구나 :)

  • yoon do hyun!..yoon band! ㅜㅜ..best band~

  • Out-Fuckin'-Standing YOOOOOOON! America needs an Asian band like y'all...Wow! ...Love whatchu got! From a honkey in St.Louis.

  • I love the guitar player's funky style XD

  • Anyone know what song this is?

  • I think it might be Cigarette lady or Cigarette girl not sure but after like a fucking hour of searching it is by Yoon Do Hyun Band and the album is why Be?

  • Ya..I looked on google and I found out that the song is called Cigarette Store Woman.

You were pretty close. Thanks for the help! I'm gonna find a download somewhere now.

  • well for u .. it's korean name

    담배가게 아가씨

  • WAY BETTER THEN MIRO'S NIRVANA SHIT

  • I think the guitar player is inluence heavily by Jimi hendrix but I don't they ripped voodoo child..although there is one riff that reminds me of that song.. and please don't generalize about koreans ripping/sampling music. Not all koreans do that.

  • okay when i first heard his voice i thought "98 degrees"

    holy crap

  • hahahahaha cigarette girl,,, english version

  • somewhere in there sounds like voodoo child... koreans and ripping/sampling music.

  • I <3 Yoon band~ Anyway, to Last Dinosaur- There are a lot of rock/alt bands in Korea, they're just not as well known. Need a list? Well, these are only the ones I remember right off the top of my head, but: My Aunt Mary, Rocket Diary, Izi, The Trax, Cherry Filter, Seo Taiji, Maya, Pia, Nell, Peterpan Complex, Jaurim, Schizo, Loveholic, Yoojeen, Cloud 9, Rumble Fish, Deli Spice, Wiretape, Vanilla Unity...

  • First of all, Drpaprika, that's quite a false conjecture to make if you're going to use that for your argument, because you cannot ever KNOW 'anyone' to make that kind of a presumption. Secondly, you say 'who cares', well, obviously YOU were bothered enough by it. Everything has a history to it. If it's something that's already been done before and originally and better then there's no point if they're not adding something different to it.

  • yoon do hyun man! he's really famous in korea

  • If they're like somebody that already exists? There's no point to it. It's like if there's a Korean version of the Beatles, what's that?!? Then they're not really themselves. No one would mistake the Rolling Stones for the Beatles and vice versa, right? I don't want to see this then.

  • no one really knows what your point is. but they are influenced by shinjunghyun and deelgukhwa maybe. not directly from beatles or rolling stones. who cares. who's like who.unless we do have a little bit of variety of music besides trash kpop.

  • First of all, Drpaprika, that's quite a false conjecture to make if you're going to use this for your argument, because you cannot ever know 'anyone' and presume this. Secondly, you say who cares? Obviously, I made an observation about it and called it and YOU was bothered by it. Everything has a history to it. If it's been done before, do something different, otherwise THERE'S NO POINT TO IT.

  • awesome song and awesome band!

  • they dont do funk nor blues but...

  • They're like Red Hot Chili Peppers, but Korean.

  • lol thay are slightly diffrent but yah lol

  • not bad. korea has very few rock bands compared to japan or the us. good too see some of them rocking out \m/

  • Actually, Last Dinosaur, there are a lot of korean rock/alt bands, they just aren't as well known. xD If you need a list, just tell me.

  • I need a good list... i've listened to Seo Taiji, Trax (ug), Nell, Pia, Crying Nut, No Brain, the Witches, Loveholic, and YB (yes some of them are pop..). Bands I really like include Radiohead, White Stripes, the Strokes, Interpol, and Spoon... i need them juicy Korean indie material... thnx

  • where the fuck can u buy the cds I can't find that kind of shit anywhere and by shit I mean good music not as in shitty music
