Actually your wrong we live in a republic so the only job of the government is to protect us and our "stuff". Anything else is just useless government. Thats why we've never had universal health care because it isn't the governments job to keep us well, we've never had federal government run schools because its not the governments job to educate us, and so on. I'd rather pay less and have uncle sam get out of my life than try to make ineffective government more effective with more money.
