So others may focus on what the opposition is promising .. how about what is the government doing? The reason we don't know, among others, is because the speaker of the house is obscuring debate.

They promise a few more beds, but give no detail as to how this will be achieved. They ask for 30% GST but won't say what they will do with it. They offer no new beds, no new doctors, no new nurses.

Opposition policy is well detailed, although they will also release more precise terms as the election draws near. We know they want to get rid of the dud bureaucracy that siphons money from the hospital into pork barrels and spend money on sick people getting well, instead.
