I loved this video!! I loved Annie and Mitchell scenes ever since episode 1, I was sooo sad to see the s03 finale !!!! I also have this wild hope that we might see them together in the after-after life!!

I think exactly the same.I believe Mitchell will pay for all his sins at the purgatory and at the very end he'll come back to to Annie e take her with him to heaven. And that they will live happy eternally. (forgive me if i wrote something wrong. English is not my first idiom).

I have no delusions that Mitchell will come back from the dead, but I still hold out hope that at the very very end we might see him again (after the Hobbit finishes filming, lol) as Annie makes her way to her afterlife. I think she was the only person who could ever really love him (aside from George), because even after everything came out she still did. She was the one who wanted to go and look for him, ppl seem to miss that part! Sorry for the rant... :D

@savannahhershey It's just fans and people keep cult-like think what Toby Whitehouse did in writing their & Mitchell's ending was clever writing because it SAVAGED Romantic/DRAMA literary 101. When you have character SAY CLEAR and CERTAIN leading dialogue that links to future story it should then be alluded to that it will or might come true. As of now, from my interp of recent British TV storytelling, gutting expected tropes or expected story is the thing EXCITING & EDGY

When you think about their relationship in terms of the story, and not the reality of the actors its even more sad. He lived for 100+ years for only a few weeks of realizing what love even is and Annie has been abused repeatedly by lovers to finally find one that would sacrifice everything for her and loses him before she ever really had him. Its bitter tragedy...*sigh*

It is the ultimate tragedy, the only hope is that once she helps stop the vamps (who can now be bad, since the only decent one is gone) she'll get her door and he'll somehow be there waiting for her... Even if he doesn't deserve to be happy, she does and her happiness is tied to being with him... he couldn't stay, not after what he's done, not after what he would do, so I thought the end was beautiful... in my mind, their story isn't over!

@savannahhershey HEre's my attitude, just WHAT did he do that meant Mitchell couldn't stay and over time work things out with the SUPPORT of his so CALLED LOVER& FRIEND waiting out few decades. If ANYTHINH showing ANNIE walking him thru someone's door again for penance and then she's whisked away would've been better than staking. He'd killed more in a setting of innocents with Herrick, yet a clear slip of egged on vengeance after being ASSASSINATED is ew icky horrors. Whatever.
