  • Somehow the crappy sound quality adds to it.

  • Hey, just wondering, did you use an NTSC or a PAL version of "An American Tail" for this? It's important if somebody wants to do this with better audio, because film runs at 24 frames per second but video doesn't.

For NTSC, they do perform a complex process called pull-up, but it basically says the speed stays the same, roughly 24fps. With PAL, they do what's called a PAL speed-up, they speed the movie up from 24 to 25fps! It doesn't sound like much but it matters a lot when synching audio.

  • no it don't, and it doesn't work for Wizard of Oz either.

  • when do you start the music so i can watch it myself?

  • are you trying to say that this synchs in some way?

  • lol, nice title.

  • credit were the only part that worked...

  • i got eraserhead and the wall to sync up , it amazing how many films actually sync to pink floyd

  • Eraserhead and The Wall! Dude thats psychotic! Eraserhead is one of the most fucked up movies of all time!

What would be the most fucked up pairing ever do you think? How about......William Shatners "The Transformed Man" with.....1,000,000 years BC? or how about The Dear Hunter and Peter, Paul and Mary's Greatest Hits! HA!

  • there are some parts that REALLY sync up, like the cats colliding together in the snow, or when it pans to the house. and the clocks ringing right @ the shot of the burning town. what a creative idea :)

  • Comment removed

  • its like it matched completely.

  • sorry, wrong video.

  • What really sends chills for me in this and in the Dark Side of the Rainbow, is how the credits really seem to go with the music. It sets the mood for the whole thing and also gives me the creeps in a good way!!

  • i dont think this movie was made when dark side of the moon came out?

dark side of the moon release date: March 17, 1973

american tale release date: November 21, 1986

maybe spielburg made the movie to the soundtrack...but most likely not...coincidence...but still an entertaining one at that.

  • um..... yeah...... no. I have no idea why you even entertained that thought. Of COURSE its a fucking coincidence.

  • Cool! I like you putting the music while the movie! AWESOME!!!

  • I don't get it.

  • I agree, I don't get it either, I watched the whole thing and saw no similarity with the music to the movie clip. I don't mean to insult or critisize the maker, I just don't understand.

  • Not to be mean but damn you need to redo the audio something bad, it's so staticy and crackly sounding, other than that it's really cool though

  • No man, it's cool. I agree 100 percent, the sound is really crappy. I guess I should have used a better program to mix the audio and video together. But thanks for watching anyway.

  • The music to this, the music only soundtrack with no dialogue, it's very annoying.

  • Wait. Wasn't this movie made after DSotM came out? So then Bluth was a Floyd fan?

  • mmm i dont think this fits together like everyone says imo.

  • The synths timing with the boathorn is just a really remarkable coincidence! ... and the small "farewell orcestra" started playing exactly when the drumming rythm starts!

  • Weird how things mix sometimes :)

  • They say that if you play the CD with the wizard of oz you get the same effect.

  • I hear it synchs up with other films. Rolling Stone did an article about it. I'll try to dig it up or get a link or something.

  • I'd have never thought that pink floyd would go with anything like this...

  • What an awesome idea... I love movie synchs! Thanks for uploading!

  • Thanks for watching.

  • ach... you and everybody else!

  • y is it that pink floyd's dark side of the moon seems to match with every movie?

  • Could you please upload this movie without Pink Floyd?

  • ... um, yeah, it is. I just removed the audio and replaced it with Dark side of the Moon. It's not the WHOLE movie, but it is the movie, nonetheless.

  • I thought the coolest part was when the cats collided right along with the music..

  • wasn't one of their albums set to the wizard of oz?

  • Yeah. Same one I think.

  • sweet!!! pink floyd kicks ass! check out my vids . ima tryin to get more views!

  • Is Floyd being played from a record? I can hear the popping and it's soooo badass!

  • No the sound just really sucks. lol. But thanks anyway.

  • excuse me what is the music please? I like it so much!!

  • It's the Pink FLoyd album Dark side of the Moon.

  • Unique. A pleasant surprise.

  • BTW, if you want to replicate the effect, start the album when the Universal logo pops up, not at the WARNING sign.
