If your Japanese, I would stay humble afterall your country wanted to control all of Asia: China, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. Philippines is improving, compared to the past 20 years, it takes time. BPO, medical tourism and even trade is gaining fast, plus the 20B$ money sent home by an OFW yearly,i really see a vibrant Philippines Republic

to give you idea, iloilo ,my hometown, just recently open a mall n the whole upper floor is reserved already for a BPO comp that will employ another 2000 wrkrs starting this january, another building newly built beside that mall exclusively to cater BPO comp. (500+ employees needed) plus a huge prestigious company will start next year developing the property they bought 3 yrs ago to create a new city and most of building offices to cater BPO,now thats what u call real growth

Malaysians are just bragging about Kuala lumpur, which I think is the only city in their country. Philippines has Davao City, Cebu city, Iloilo city, Baguio city, which are not just famous for their infrastructures but also for their diversity. and I can say that, even if you combine all of malaysia's cities, it can only be compared to Luzon's Cities
