They shouldn't kill Genisis and Angeal. They should just try to find a way to return them to normal. Angeal isn't even going insane like Genisis and Sephiroth do. They should also try to persuade Genisis to stop being a monster and to push away his fate as one and become human again...

It's easier to just kill them. Shin-Ra always treats their employees as if they're expendable. Even though it's a loss to destroy two great SOLDIERs 1/C, they feel they can always make more (esp. since Hojo feels he's got the technique down pat now).

And...it's dangerous having two rogue SOLDIERs on the loose. If the public found out, ppl would lose confidence in Shin-Ra damaging the company's reputation and revenue.

I continue to ponder over why Seph smirks when Zack asks if he's going to kill them, since he later reveals he has no intention of doing so. I wonder if it's sort of a wry smirk, meaning something like "Am I going to regret what I actually plan to do", or if it's just a general smirk meant to throw Lazard off-track, since Seph can't honestly answer Zack's question until they're alone.

I think it's some of both, really. Zack's question kind of throws everything into perspectic, so the wry part would be like "If you think about it, yeah, I'm killing my best friends."

I think it's more because Sephiroth is of a...higher caliber than Zack, and therefore acts more official and militarily, striding instead of running.

And if you'll notice, Sephiroth walks pretty damn fast anyway. XD
