I really didn't think I'd like the Celeveland Show, but he took it in a completely different direction than what I expected, it took me by surprise, and now I watch it every week. He is certainly one of the most talented and funny producers out there.

People regard Seth MacFarlane as an untalented hack who doesn't know how to make a cartoon. Honestly, though I don't think he's great and I certainly think there are better animators that deserve much more recognition than him, I don't think he's as awful as people make him out to be. I just think both Family Guy and American Dad are hit or miss, sometimes they make me laugh, other times I'm just like "Eh". Though I will admit, The Cartoon Cavalcade is an unfunny piece of shit!

a) Fred was one of his first drawings as a kid

b) He started his career with Hannah Barbara so he must feel some loyalty to the brand

Uh.... The Flintstones never were just a kid show. It started as an adult show were Fred and Barney actually smoked. It's very suited show for McFarlane given it dealed a lot with parodies of the present time (for example the original Flintstones had a lot of pre-historic parodies of actors and famous people of that time for example Cary Granite / Cary Grant).

As far as I'm concerned, he still does an excellent job at his brand of comedy (social and political satire) and manages to hold down the ratings for Fox. Finally, as a response to your other question, "He has too many shows, now he gets this, why does he get this too?"

He should get it because he worked for it. Despite what you may think, it's not easy to produce 5 TV shows. Just calm down and enjoy TV.

American law states that no census or ratings data can be legally collected from a person under the age of 18. This means that if the viewing audience was nothing but 10-year-olds, registry of the ratings would not be collected period, meaning the ratings would be 0 viewers per episode.

Regardless of what you might think, television is a money game. If Family Guy didn't make money, Fox wouldn't bother making new episodes- it is relatively expensive. If they weren't convinced that the demographic they were shooting for liked the show, it wouldn't make it to it's Sunday night block in the first place. End of story.
