  • Why is english so difficult for italians ? ;o) cheers

  • W il padovano volante.<

  • F1 going back to 4 cyl turbo? Maybe Honda will make a new team

  • Feels good to see Patrese's helmet in a GP car again. He's still got it...

  • off topic: omg these cars were SOOO better looking than todays cars. wider and lower rear wing, narrower front. they just look like they should be.

and Ricardo Patrese is so great

  • what track is this?

  • @Clownface125 Are you serious??

  • Riccardo, tu sei una brava persona.

  • Riccardo was a superb driver and perhaps, very underrated.

I never understood why he was disliked in some circles although James Hunt may have had something to do with this.To this day, I cannot understand why Hunt detested Riccardo so much. Even after video footage of Ronnie Peterson's accident at Monza clearly showed it was Hunt's fault and not Patrese's, perhaps his hatred for Riccardo was driven by guilt?

Hunt wasn't even half the man Patrese is both as a Formula one driver and a person.

  • @VonTripps Absolutely right.

  • sweet old man~ if he's still around, he'd pwn michael n lewis n alonso

  • A true gentleman from the time when F1 was a true drivers' sport, not a corporate pitstop strategist's regression analysis....

  • what a nice guy!

  • Now *there* is a legend, from the days when the field was full of them: Piquet, Mansell, Senna, Prost, Lauda, and so many others. When you looked at F1 grids from 1980-1992, more than half were potential world champions. How far have we sunk that people think Michael Backmarker is the supposed "greatest"?

  • ....honda rules.....

  • hey Riccardo ✌ .

  • lmao gameboy.. Those nasty machines.

  • thanks for posting this. Patrese is a class act and having him in a Honda just seems right. He's probably sold more Type R civics than any ad campaign after that hot lap with his hot wife got out. His ability to relate to the public has always been evident but after 15 years, Honda and he allow us to be in the pits and on the track with a great crew and a great driver. He DOES get to take that Type R home, right? Ciao.

  • Nice, I am third from the right, (5:17) the one with the headphone on his side, forgot about this video. :D

  • Always a gentleman, always smiling. And pretty skilled not only at driving but also at setting up the car. Remember that, when first paired at Williams, he was initially fastest than Nigel Mansell. And this is when Riccardo already was 'old'!!

It's a pleasure to watch him happy.

  • F1 drivers are the luckiest SOB's in the world!

  • @Riddco Lol. Luck has nothing to do with it.

  • The Civic Type R is probably faster than RA108

  • @fanofdiesel Of course it's not. The RA108 is an F1 car my friend. You are in need of some help, yes. You are crazy mother.

  • @SuperApparition I said that out of sarcasm

  • Riccardo and his wife are both in great shape. Sex, cars, and badass Italian food will do that for you.

  • haha that would be awesome to hop back in after being out for so long. I wish this guy was my dad or gpa.

  • the thing i love about hondas is the fact it puts out alot of power per liter. fuel efficient, cheap, fast in the circuit if ur a good driver, and well... its fun to whoop on v8 when ur boosting :)

  • nice sounding engine.

  • HONDA the power of dreams

    alpinestars, ENEOS, Bridgestone NGK

  • One of the last F1-Gentleman ...

  • this guy is priceless. so intelligent and so gentleman. start for sure.

  • definitely one of the nicest drivers that ever drove in F1...great to see him again in F1 car!

  • the passenger's expression at the 1:33 mark is priceless

  • I always liked Ricardo Patrese, great to see him again smilin' 'an bein' 'appy

  • very good

  • What a nice clip! I was a fan of Patrese back then, and i was really pleased to see him so exited. It almost seemed that he was so exited, taht he wanted to start his career all over again.

It was as if he asked him self "why did i leave this sport"

  • i want to here that so bad one day!!! "Good morning Clayton can you hear me" as i sit inside the cockpit of a F1 car...MAN!!!!! excellent

  • Everytime I see these videos and the honda F1, I always laugh to myself at the old chevy vs honda comercial that talked about the lawnmower. XD

  • I would kill for Riccardo's race suit =)

  • The last gentleman in F1

  • real nice guy....its seems hes a little lost once he gets out and stuff....like it hit him after he drove it

  • Comes across as a nice bloke.

  • a pleasure to watch . patrese is my fave driver of all time. a true sportsman , never grumbled , just enjoyed his job . thanks .

  • @cns01226

you saw the lap with his wife on a civic? to die laughing

  • @cns01226 And it was decent of him to never beat James Hunt's head in.

  • Grande Ricardo!!!

  • what a good looking guy at the age of 50

  • hes got a hot wife

  • @Roofuss12345 not surprising with his classic italian handsome looks

  • @Roofuss12345 u mean the niples wife hehe

  • @Roofuss12345 Shit yeah, he has a amazingly hot wife!

  • I would pay to drive that "biggest piece of shit" as you say.

  • someone doesn't understand cars so well then. You must not know their potential.

  • patrese executed two of the great passes in his time.

1991 german grand prix: in one lap and two consecutive corners, prost on the outside followed by senna on the inside. (... just try to imagine that!!!!!)

no one, regardless of equipment or circumstance can or will ever claim that in their career.

unfortunately, it's the one part (6/11) that's conveniently missing in the 11 part 1991 german grand prix series that is uploaded on here.

    sad.

  • My first motorsport memory is of Riccardo winning the 1983 South African Grand Prix at Kyalami. He was always a fast driver, a loyal team member and a great man.

I really enjoyed watching this video, thanks for posting :-)

  • Patrese is a great driver and a very nice person too. I like him

  • sicuro se lo buttavano dentro andava più forte di button

  • riccà ma ora senza la honda in F1 come facciamo?

  • c'è sempre la force india ad occupare le ultime file....

  • are there more clips like this one with other ex-F1 drivers? Really enjoyed this! thx!

  • Riccardo is pure class. A true sportsman, a loyal team member and very underrated in his time. He finished 3rd in the 1989 F1 championship only to Prost and Senna in an inferior Williams.

  • a true legend, and what a car! 19000 rpm pedal to the metal pwnage! LoL!

  • Niki Lauda and Riccardo Patrese, two of my favorite F1 drivers in history.

  • Patrese is a big driver and a big man!

Thank you very much for sharing this! :)

  • Grande Riccardo!

  • Great
