@professorintellect pillman tricked eric in to firing him in a storyline he got to sign a legal paper that meant he was fired for real as wcw would not realse him.
Wow. I can't believe you said Pillman sucked. You have your opinion and I respect that, but I just find it hard to believe somebody can say this man had no talent.
they dont make wrestlers like Brian anymore,,a total badass,,funny as hell and most important interesting ,,not like todays retards who have to stick to the script word for word and action for action ,,with zero add-lib,,i feel bad for the kids growwing up today with know wrestling personalities....I had the greats,,,and they all were great becuase there personalities could not be held back..john cena is weak,,watch e.c.w one night only cenas e.c.w debut,,where they throw his shirt back to him
Absolutely EPIC worked shoot that threw everybody who wasn't in the loop for a loop. This was a classic case of what made ECW so revolutionary and cutting edge: they took an underrated wrestler and elevated him in less than 10 minutes by raising the bar to another dimension entirely.
Pillman was unhinged and the crowd was electric. A classic moment in wrestling where all the elements fell perfectly into place.
One of the best debuts by a known wrestler in another promotion EVER.
The Loose Cannon gimmick was golden and could of been so big in the mid/late 90s during the peak of Attitude. It's really a shame that Pillman was taken away from us way too early.
How can you say that Brian Pillman was a nobody. I'll agree with you that there are alot of people who praise him only because he's dead, but the man was very talented. If his life wasn't cut short there's no doubt he could have been a huge player in the attitude era. Maybe even bigger than stone cold. That's just my opinion.
I remember way before this when I just started watching wrestling there was this guy doing all these high flying moves things I had never seen which was in contrast to the WWF and Hogan Flyin Brian Pillman that dude opened my eyes then he evolved into this character I loved it him and Raven 2 of wrestlings best creations in my opinion RIP Pillman.
@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes A nobody???...you call a guy that joined the Four Horsemen, the Hart Foundation, a man that shined in all 3 companys ECW, WCW and WWF while superstars like Bret Hart, Shane Douglas, Stone cold steve austin and others couldnt get the same kind of brightness...a man that outshined Flair with the Hollywood Blonds thats a nobody?? than if my comment was ridiculous than i can imagine yours
Seriously... I don't even know where to start to try and understand this. I didn't keep up with it back in the day, ECW that is. Or the Brian Pillman career. Can someone FULLY explain this?
Pillman was "fired" by WCW, and debuted in ECW here. But honestly, no one knows just how real his firing was, as WCW was trying to run a storyline the blurred the lines of storyline and reality as much as possible. Bischoff claims that, in order to make the gimmick of Pillman being unpredictable realistic, they fired him, with intentions to have him appear in the crowd in WCW later on and attack WCW stars. However, Pillman nevr did. No one knows how real it all was.
@vedder316 He prolly would've if not for his death. You can bet that Austin definitely woulda pushed for a big program with Pillman once Austin got to that level of main eventer
It's Brian F'N PILLMAN! I gotta say his death hit me harder than the death of Owen, or the death of the BritishBuilldog, Rick Rude, mr Perfect, Big BossMan, and so forth. Pillman was a true entertainer, and had such an incredible mind and knack for the business. Had this incident not happened, and Brian, who is now flying with the angels has looked dow with a smile of his face as he watched his best friend, Steve Austin rise to incredible icon status. in his last day in WWF he gave sum funny sht
holy fucking shit wat a shoot. btw i was wondering if he was dogging Austin by saying ur a piece of fucking shit idk though mabye Eric bischoff is who hes talking about. but its great 5/5
No he was definitely NOT dogging Austin...he was speaking to Biscoff only. He and Austin were best friends. The gold necklace Austin always wore to the ring in WWE was given to him by Pillman as a gift. Pillman here made reference to how Biscoff was a former coffee boy who brought coffee to WCW bigwigs before becoming a bigwig himself.
