That is not a real Mustang, because the driver doesn't know how to touch it. The Mustang has a much bigger potential to be quicker wo/lagg. Don't get me wrong though, I own a 06STI and I love it!!
The 2003 Mach 1 Mustang actually registered a similar 0 - 60 time as the Sti, at 4.5 seconds. The only difference being "off the line." That being said, I haven't had a Mustang dare to race my Sti yet. One late model actually tried to hide from me on the Freeway. I wasn't even gonna race. He just saw my big wing a comin, and did all he could to avoid me.

Hahahaha, just makes me laugh. sti's are quick, when they are modded, and being a mustang guy I give them the credit they deserve, but that was lame. That was an old GT for one, and two try racing a 4V mustang and see what happens... you will get straight up embarrassed.

Whats wrong with the old 4.6's? 93-98 modular blocks were made by Teksid which cast the best AL. blocks for manufactures suchs as Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, VW, Bugatti, Ferrari, pretty much any performance car
Both cars have amazing potential and eventually the mustang will surpass the Subie in straight line performance but thats pretty much it... the subie is more of a drivers car IMO but its always down to what the driver wants
All of the Subaru trannies are fine. The 6 speed and Type RA boxes are the best obviously but, there's nothing wrong with the rest of them. The problem is people like to be rough on a AWD car. I don't care what car you own, if you beat it, it's gonna break, end of story.
