will other die sets from other compinies work on the lee classic turret press? Can i just get a 3 hole lee classic turret press for 9mm? thanks for the great video
is the lee deluxe 3 die set that all i need?it does not include the factory crimp die.its sold separate in midwayusa.i already have the powder charging die that you showed at 3:40 in this video.tnx.
@triggersafe The less premium die set from them are 3 dies. Their 4 die set is the way to go for a 4 station press. Or get the 3 die set and use the open station as a preliminary visual powder check in the cases.
im absolutely new to reloading.i plan to reload .308 and .223 rem with this press.my question is:can i use RCBS dies on it?any suggestion as to what powder and primers?i already have speer bullets.also, what reloading manual is best for novices like me...thanks.
@ammosmith Been using this press a fair amount recently. So far, so good with .308, and same with some 7.62x54R shot out of the Mosin. Someday I'll have better access to a range, possibly of my own, to fire those rounds more often. They kick, but they're fun!
@sonick808 I think for me it's more about what I am loading for. If it's precision rifle I will use a better press. if it's handgun...and I want a lot of it...I go for the Lee. I really hate this new comment response setup from YouTube...why do they spring this crap on us and it doesn't work right?
Are you referring to the lack of proper tiering of the comments ? I really wish they'd get that together!
As for the precision loading, you are entirely correct. I've not done much in that area so my comment was a bit myopic. I am still pretty new to reloading. Well, recently anyway. I reloaded when i was 16! but haven't for 20 years.
It was actually this video that sold me on the classic turret, so thanks :)
How do you feel about the forster coax for precision rifle loads ?
The other thing you should make clear about the construction of the decapping pin assembly is that it can be loosened and used, with a punch, to drive out a stuck case if you forgot or under-did the lube (where applicable). This has saved me at least once already. Otherwise great vid!
I enjoy watching all of your videos.I have bookmarked some of them. They are well made and thought out.Could not find part 2 are they forthcoming. Thanks
Ammo you rock. Your Vids are getting so much better than the first ones. Of all the reloading DVDs I have, yours are the best. I would have never figured it all out without your help.

@triggersafe Yes any die will fit. I think 223 would work fine but .308 may be a bit too much for this guy.

@ammosmith Could I use a, RCBS powder measure, or another brand powder measure, on the lee turret press instead of the lee powder measure?
stainless1911 1 year ago
@stainless1911 Yes. Just leave the powder through insert in the die. You'll have to use the RCBS powder measure manually.
